Oh, I didn't know we had to be tested for chickenpox antibodies... I had it as a child and as such I'm not vaccinated. Can you do that without anything from the doctor who'll be doing your medical exam? How do you document it? I might need to look into that as well... I asked the medical center I'll be having my exam at about vaccines, and they gave me a list of vaccines. About the chickenpox they just said I needed the vaccine if I hadn't had it, nothing about testing for it. :/

I also checked to see if I could schedule my medical before the embassy has my papers, but that was a no go. Too bad, as I have to travel for the medical - it would be nice to just get it out of the way.

From the information I got from the clinic I am going to they wrote that if do not have proof of vacination or if, in this case, you've had chickenpox and it hasn't been documented they will do the test for you. So your clinic will probably do it but I was going to look into the option of having it done before going there.

I know the feeling, I am so glad my clinic is fine with it. I will have to travel as well. I got nervous when the clinic said that chest x-ray will be done at another clinic but luckily they were withing walking distance of each other and the x-ray clinic did drop in.

In certain countries, the doctors take your word for it - having had chickenpox I mean. Germany does, for example. Maybe Norway and Sweden do too?

On top of that, I have a little red book that contains all my vaccinations and also childhood exams - it also has a page of childhood diseases with dates on them. I, for example, had chickenpox and mumps (the latter despite vaccination) and it is recorded there. Maybe you or your mums have something similar?

You're right, maybe I should just wait until I get to the clinic and see what they say. I may not have to get tested for it. Thank you :)

Good idea, I should check with my mom. :) I have my vaccination records, but they don't include childhood diseases I've had. They might also take my word for it - after all, chickenpox is pretty common, at least here.

I-129F form received July 22, 2014. Received hard copy of receipt about 2 weeks later. I sent supporting documents that included photos of us together, a few airline flight tickets/receipts flying to and from DC and Milan, Italy, as well as letter of intent to marry and an explanation of how we met.

Have not heard anything since and it has been 6.5 months. Never received any RFEs. I did receive 4 false text messages all at the same time on December 9, 2014 stating there had been a change in my case status. This was in error when they updated their website according to someone I talked to over the phone.

I recently moved and had filed to change my address, other than receiving a receipt of the change of address at the new address, I have heard nothing. If there were an RFE sent would this show up when I log in on the USCIS website? I had a real and re-occurring problem with undelivered mail/lost mail from the USPS at my old address so it is entirely possible something could have been mailed and I never received it...For example: Bought an engagement ring online...it was delivered to someone else's house on another street. Not having good luck thus far if you catch my drift.

There are plenty of people with NOA-1 dates around your date on here still waiting. Something should be happening in the next couple of weeks. We saw reports of consistently moving into July petitions from around mid January.

Good luck!

Hi Sandra! I'm not sure. I am already vaccinated against it so I did not ask. The list I got from Sibyllekliniken in Stockholm was confusing because it lists the vaccines needed but then says age category. Hep B is shown as up to 18 years old and Hep is for babies. I would recommend emailing or calling the clinic you're planning on going to just to make sure. I've been contacting Sibyllekliniken and they are extremely helpful.

Not 100% the same, but the clinic in Norway told me I need the following vaccines: Measles/mumps/rubella (MMR), tetanus, chickenpox if you haven't had them. That was it. I thought I needed the hepatitis vaccines, so happy to know I don't (they're expensive!). :D

Hang in there....we got an updated status text about our RFE, no email. I'm sure you'll hear something this week or next week. Did you make sure they updated your address in their system just to make sure???

Got our RFE in the mail today :D

For us they said the itinerary wasn't evidence that we had met in the last two years because the year wasn't on their and the picture I included of us together didn't have a date on it because I took it with my cellphone. What did you guys use for proof or meeting in the last two years??? (and I lost my passport)

Don't think I've ever seen anyone so happy about getting an RFE... lol, but yea its good news.. you are being processed... great.

The best proof of meeting has always been passport stamps, boarding passes, receipts or copies of charges are better, on your credit card account maybe. Pity about your passport etc, but just try and build a picture with input from both of you including bills/receipts, photos, as much as you can, now they've asked. Basically you need to prove same place/same time. Any old credit card accounts you may have showing you were there. together with photos. Its amazing what you can dig up when you start looking...

Mar 2011 - After 5mths denied for lost docs - Attempts to follow up failed. Mar 18 2012 - I-129F sent - No sign of NOA1 but they have banked the check...Jul 24 - Update - USCIS has located our file
Infopass Apt - they sorted through everything - our 2011 and 2012 file keep getting mixed up - getting us a Case# (still waiting) Dec- Infopass Appt- expecting to get a case # in about a week ..Still no Case number

Mar 2013 Infopass - advised file was in a box somewhere, and it would be quicker for us to refile. Life gets in the way... New petition submitted July 2014 .
