I write these lines with mixed emotions. I actually don't know how to write it. But I know how it feels to for wait for this day and this email. So I must pray for all who haven't been approved yet for a quick, very quick approval and then share that with the help and blessings of Almighty we have been APPROVED!. Email received at 11 pm sharp. No text. Status changed on site. Thanks you all sooooo much!

Please don't feel anything other than pure happiness...Congrats you deserve it!!!! Best of luck the rest of the journey

After

  • 4632 hours
  • 193 days
  • 27 weeks and 4 days

We got approved!!

I really hope more approvals for everyone else is very soon!! :dancing:

Congrats that is great new!!!! Good luck with everything!!!!

approved. got the message this morning from my lawyer and also check it online. July 28.

Congrats on the approval!!! Best wishes!!!

Congrats to all the recent approvals! I'm glad to see it moving along!

However it seems like they are approving mid July and late July filers and I can't help but to feel like we are getting passed along. I am a July 7 filer... anyone else here in the same boat?

It is hard not to wonder why the beginning of the month seems to be being "skipped" (filed July 1) but you will be getting your approval very soon I'm sure. We're almost there and soon we'll all be celebrating in the NOA2 forum :) Hang in there...they didn't forget or skip yours...its any day now!

For any one else who is waiting to receive their RFE in the mail I saw that TSC averages 14 days for approving cases after receiving the evidence....just so you know because I know I was wondering how much more time I am looking at...again congrats to all the approvals and best wishes to the rest of us waiting

I just saw the approvals, congratulations to everyone!!

I just came back from new york, a week with my fiancé. It was also the hardest one. I don't want to leave anymore ss it is getting too painful. We are already discussion the ceremony, trying to keep our minds busy. So close, yet so far.

On the other hand, I have a silly question. My dress was bought in Maryland and i need to go back for fitting in May. If my visa is accepted by then, can I go through customs without activating the visa?

It's a single entry visa so once you have it in your passport, it will be 'used' as soon as you arrive at your POE, the first time you use the passport with the visa in it.

I know what you mean about parting. After January, our consolation is that there will be no more goodbyes.

Can you postpone your dress fitting? Looking at your timeline, you should be there by May. Are you wanting a later date for the wedding?

Actually, I would probably have to call USCIS. My fiancé contacted CPB and he was told I CAN go through without activating the visa. I have to bring the package (unopened) and say I don't want to activate it yet. It is so unclear to me.

We haven't received our NOA2 yet, so we are trying to start things. The dress was bought on monday and the lady said it would be ready for fitting by April 15th. The thing is, I can only take time off in May. We are planning on activating the visa around June/July (and have an August wedding, maybe september as it will be indoor).

As it takes 2-3 months for the dress to be ready, I want to go BEFORE I activate my visa. IMO, it saves the struggle of being sure it fits in our 90 timeline. (Would've been easier if I bought it in Montréal hahaha).

I was suposed to leave on Sunday, but due to the storm, my bus was cancelled (YAY 1 more night!). He worked on monday and all the buses were overbooked for the night departures. Anyway, there was state troopers turning the buses back on I-87 because the montreal terminal was close. So I left this morning. Last night, I could NOT stop crying. I guess it's just the fact we know it's getting closer, but it hurts so much to spend a week with someone, and then go home to a cold, empty bed, and no cuddles. Soon enough.

Maybe it works differently for Canadians. If you can call to find out, better to do that and at least know that you won't have any issues.

(Would've been easier if I bought it in Montréal hahaha).

You're not alone. I had my dress shipped to my fiance, tried it on with the shoes at Christmas when I was there and it's a bit too long. Now I'm back in the UK trying to find higher shoes, without the dress here. The best laid plans ....! I just didn't want it to get crushed and creased on the flight over so I'm glad I did it the way I did

The other option is to delay your interview. NOA2 approval is good for four months.

I was AMBUSHED by my mother in law and her sisters. So we went dress shopping. I was not planning on buying a dress as we were not sure about civil or ceremony (Now it looks like we have a ceremony. His family are looking for venues while we are waiting and his mom is going to make a deposit once we are approved). But you know, I tried some one and ended up finding THE ONE. We were all sitting in the main room, crying and hugging each other haha.

He will call on Thursday, and try getting me the permission to call and bug them about our petition (heard it can be done, so we try). Or we will just try to Schedule everything according to the fitting dates.
