I got approved! I haven't spoken to my fiancee yet - he (petitioner) will probably call me soon after he gets his text message. I'm so happy!!!

We got our noa-1 on the 23rd of July where they spelt my (beneficiary) name wrong. The name change was received on Aug 11. And today, 30 Jan, we got noa2!

It hasn't quite sunk in yet, buy I'm so glad the longest part is over!

You have all been a great source of hope here. I hope you all get your responses in the next few days!

Congrats on the fantastic news. It definitely is a bit surreal at first; enjoy the moment. Yes, the longest part is behind you. Good luck on the rest of your journey. Cheers.

PS - Don't forget to update your timeline, everyone appreciates that.

I see. I meant like, if i searched SRC1490340000 on the USCIS site, it doesn't indicate what type of application it is. just that it was delivered to the post. I wrote a tool that i wanted to make available for everyone, but i guess since tracking numbers are confidential, people wont want to let me do some analysis on how i129-f numbers are generated. I have a few theories though, so i'll just keep at it on my own. Thanks guys.

You can find how they assign the case numbers here.

Congrats everyone!

Regarding the numbers: My own number doesn't seem to follow the rules laid out in the description. I tried to figure it out, but there must be exceptions to the rule.

It could be that they have changed it. I haven'y bothered to check mine because if the part of where you can see how many cases were received at the same time as mine is true then it is too depressing to look at.

Hey Guys.....somehow my account got deleted...the VJ admin. team is working on it to reopen. So I had to make a new one because I felt 100% lost without this site. It's good to be back and see approvals last night.

I had been wondering and then thought may be u were in Ghana to see yours. Good luck!

Still waiting for approval and getting anxious to the point where I am depressed at times awaiting approval every night, M-F, 6 pm - 11 pm. Lol.. it sounds and feel like a part time job now !

I was like that: spending a lot of times on the forum and just waiting to see approvals. At the 6 month mark I got a total meltdown, cried and felt that this is just so awful. I got the tip from Lorvin (a member here) who had been in the same situation and got the tip that I should take a break from VJ. I didn't take a complete break but I have been cutting down on the amount of time I spend here and I feel I am way less frustrated and depressed. Not saying this is the right thing to do for you. Just saying it's something to think about :)

Thanks Maria! I can stay away from VJ but it's the check status site that I can't keep away from:-( specially now that I am seeing cases processed literally from my left and right. Well good luck...did u try to check if you can request a meeting with Mark Warner?

Yeah, I have a thing with checking that status too. So depressing on days with no approvals at all.

No, I actually contacted a girl I know who does local politics but she has connections. She has contacted our Congressman and we are also writing our own letter to him so we'll see what happens.

I will be going to Ghana as soon as we get an interview date. I am with you 100% on the anxiety and yes it is depressing. I start checking USCIS around 8:30 - 11:00 pm. It's enough to drive a person crazy. Haha.

I am surprised you haven't gotten your NOA-2. I just knew when I got on today that you would have been approved. You will get yours very soon. I hope I do to!

Hey please don't feel disheartened. I know its tough reading about approvals, but I hope you all can take it as an indication that there is progress on the horizon.

I've been reading this thread since it started and have gone through all the ups and downs you have, but I can tell you that it'll feel like it didnt even happen when you get your noa.

I wish you all the very best on this leg of the journey and I truly thank you all for being a great source of help without even knowing it.
