Congratulations on the recent approvals. So relieved that July is now being officially processed. We all will be approved in no time now and hopefully be with our loved ones before spring.

Writing to Senator Mark Warner was a total waste of time. He's team that are supposed to help you with USCIS must have just called and spoke to a Tier 1 from the message we got from him. "Currently, I-129F applications out of the Texas Service Center (TSC) are being processed for those that were received on or before June 6, 2014. Your application was received on July 22, 2014." Thank you for nothing.

After a lot, and I mean a lot, of research

I came to conclusion that because the delays are so severe, TSC responds to all inquiries the same. Sometimes even when a T2 response is more helpful than usual, there's really no progress in processing of one's case.

Of course USCIS is aware of these forums and how quickly the word gets around these days. Therefore, they know if they approve one case because of a congressional inquiry, the phone in congressional offices will start ringing non stop.

When it comes to T2 submitting an inquiry, it only gets to TSC after 10 days and the inquiry is closed the same day if your NOA1 date is after what's posted on USCIS site.

In all situations the response is... you need to wait!

Having said that, I hope we all get approval today and hopefully never have to go through anything like this ever again.

Good luck all!

Considering I know people here have gotten way more help from their senators looking into their cases I am disappointed and I am not giving up.

On a completely different topic.... i lived in Alexandria for many years and know that senator warner is a very good person and a community man. If somehow his office allows you to meet him and you can talk to him personally, there's a good chance he will take personal interest and help you out.

Two thumbs up! Giving up is no way an option and that wasn't the intention at all. Good luck!

I had the same experience with Mark Warner - it's painfully obvious that the person in charge of handling my case simply called and got the standard Tier 1 response. I also contacted Tim Kaine, which I initially thought would be very helpful, as I was assigned to a person who sent me a few emails detailing what he was doing, but ultimately he just told me that even though it was disappointing news, he heard back from USCIS and they said there was nothing that could be done. Pretty frustrating stuff, and it's so easy to feel helpless and discouraged as this waiting period with no information stretches on and on. But this recent "wave" of July approvals has me feeling more optimistic! Hang in there, guys!

I know that's the worst part....we wait in limbo not knowing anything and to get even the simplest questions answered is a challenge....luckily we don't have to deal with this too much longer
