Ugh. I can't even bear the disappointment of talking to those people now. I think I'd end up in tears.

Congratulations for the wedding bands! It really makes me happy to read all this kind of posts here... this week has been really hard for us, and all i can wish all nights is to hear about the process next day... the feeling is still horrible through the day... And adding more stress i asked for vacations in my company to go to visit my fiance and my company is delaying the vacation approval too. Just getting upset to ask for permission to do what we supposed to do in our life.

Just praying to get an answer soon.

Hope for everyone here!

James and Jhon

Exactly! She said it in passing,

"Someone has your file and you need to just wait."

ME: "What? Someone has my file?"

"Yes, and officer has your file and you need to just wait now."

ME: "Ok, but just to be clear the last time I spoke with someone they said it was waiting to be assigned to someone, so you are saying it has been assigned?"

"Yes"

ME: "Well that's progress because last time, etc. etc. - I'll take that as progress."

"Thank you for calling."

Still - I do not think it's so. I'm jaded by the many many conflicting status reports we have experienced to believe anyone we talk to really knows what the status is. I wish my field office wasn't so hard to get an appointment in - I'd go tomorrow just for the heck of it and see what they say.

I got more info from the customer service line :(

That's exciting - and something really nice to look forward to. I found ones on easy.com but I haven't ordered them yet...

So, I got a silly question. My fiancé and I were discussing because my case has been updated on December 9th (the day we received the mass texts and emails). Can you see if your case has been touched on the USCIS website? I am so not sure about it.

But I know we won't hear anything before february, at least..

By the way, congratulations on the approval!!

Thanks everyone. I was told by a Tier 2 person a few weeks ago that the processing speed would pick up in January. My congressman's aide was also told this same thing. I did write the Office of Ombudsman last week and pointed out 1) The disparity in processing times at the two centers (CSC vs TSC). 2) USCIS fails to update the processing time on their website; thereby denying us the ability to inquire on our cases based on them being outside of normal processing time and that 3) Thousands of people at TSC are caught up in the governments inability to correct an ongoing problem. Whether or not any of this helped get some attention for us I pray the number of cases processed each week continues to increase.

My case was also last touched December 9th and you can see it if you have an account and log in, rather than just typing in your receipt number. Once you long in if you scroll down you can see the date it was last touched.....hope that helps
