July 2014 Non-Filipino TSC Filers

I don't know if you realized but I am talking about the timelines here on Visa Journey :) The one on the USCIS website is not accurate. Before the recent update from May 6 to June 6 it wasn't updated since at least October. But lets say it is accurate then we could actually expect to actually have to wait 3 more months...

So yeah, I am sticking with March for a while longer, at least until I see more July people approved ;)

Edit: I just checked your timeline and saw you are an early July filer. You'll probably get approved either late January or early February. March is the prediction for us late July filers :)

Yeah you and I have the same NOA1 date :)

I heard somewhere that July had the most number of applications this year but I am not sure where they got that info from.

This is based on the amount of filers on Igors List - It may not be completely accurate but gives a general picture of where they are at.

I have my fingers crossed for us both that it does not go past March :)

Pending Removal of Conditions following K1 and 2 Year Green Card ... Waiting ~1 year

Late December filer here...really hoping you are not accurate with that. But I can see how the trend emerges. Average approval times minus expedited Filipino cases are trending well around/above 200d based on the last reported on here. :wow:

Fingers crossed you guys get through soon at least! :clock:

Yes, really hope we're wrong. But like I mentioned before: it's better to be prepared for the worse and be happy you're wrong than be too optimistic and be sad you were wrong.

Good luck to you with your journey and I hope you won't have to wait as long as we have to! Maybe at some point they move a few more cases to CSC.

I'm waiting on a tier 2 call back. I've made only one phone call this process because I know they don't offer much help.

I might be crazy, but i'm still optimistic I will here something this week….and hopefully have an actual visa done by the end of February. Am I crazy?

Possibly not this week but if you're lucky you'll hear something this month since you're early July. I'll keep my fingers crossed! All we can do is hope and pray :)

Thanks all! Well, Tier 2 was completely useless. They spouted the same stuff that the normal people say about the current processing times. That's it. I'm not very pushy over the phone, but tried to sweeten them into giving me some useful tidbit….but nope. Nothing. So yeah, a waste of my time lol

This seems to be standard now. I don't know how many times my fiance has called in the last few weeks, but there have been numerous calls and all to the same end. While it is clear they are reading a script when we call, the suggestion that they have no access to any information is something I don't accept. A few weeks ago my fiance called, while I was over for the Holidays. They must have access to more than what we can see on the website as the agent knew I was in the US. He wanted to know if we'd got married.

It seems that they have made it more and more difficult to speak to anyone. You can't even submit an online inquiry until the "working on" date precedes your NOA1 date. Frustrating indeed, and yes, one more hour of your life you'll never get back!

Surely if they can see where you are they know where you've been and can get these petitions approved! My congressman's aide emailed me today and said that my case is waiting to be assigned to an adjudicator and check back in 30 days.(Really? They told you that 2 months ago.) No one is getting any info. I think I'll call now just to see what they say, again.

Yup, March wedding that turned into May wedding might turn into June wedding. Oh well, one day we will have or NOA2 and this wait will soon be forgotten.

Exactly! Kinda like childbirth. Also, if USCIS gave us a "you will hear by X" date it would be much easier to withstand the wait. This feeling of being in a black hole is unsettling.

We presume they could see my I94. They plead ignorance. For I while I believed it, but after that, I'm not convinced.

Except even with childbirth, you know that if you go over a certain date, they will help you out. With USCIS? Not!

I agree with you. Once we had our Christmas flights booked, November and December were actually pretty bearable, because we could count the days and had a set goal in sight. I think that is why coming back was so hard this time. The black hole sucks.

I just spoke with a Tier 2 person who says an officer has my file and I just have to wait - sadly though I do not believe her... I guess know soon since it supposedly only takes 15 minutes to sign off or issue an RFE...

lol I like how they can tell you someone has the file. But for me they can't tell me that….they actually told me something along the lines of maybe or maybe not. If I wasn't laughing i'd be crying….

Exactly! She said it in passing,

"Someone has your file and you need to just wait."

ME: "What? Someone has my file?"

"Yes, and officer has your file and you need to just wait now."

ME: "Ok, but just to be clear the last time I spoke with someone they said it was waiting to be assigned to someone, so you are saying it has been assigned?"

"Yes"

ME: "Well that's progress because last time, etc. etc. - I'll take that as progress."

"Thank you for calling."

Still - I do not think it's so. I'm jaded by the many many conflicting status reports we have experienced to believe anyone we talk to really knows what the status is. I wish my field office wasn't so hard to get an appointment in - I'd go tomorrow just for the heck of it and see what they say.
