Most definitely YES! In fact they appreciate when the petitioner is there. However, it is up to the CO's discretion if they will allow the petitioner at the interview window with you.

I went with my wife to her visa interview, went to the biometrics and the first interview with the Filipina consul, no problems. In fact the Filipina consul even asked me half the questions. When my wife interviewed with the American consul, he asked me if I was the petitioner to which I said yes. Then he said he appreciated me so much for coming and to have a seat and they would call me over if they needed anything. So even though she interviewed alone, she did really well coz she got approved.

Yes he will be allowed. How interested the CO will be in talking to him varies from one CO to another, but most are interested and some even go as far as to thank him for attending. So if he is with you in Manila, by all means bring him with you.

He will not be allowed to attend the medical with you and in fact not even allowed in the St .Luke's building, but he can still keep you company during the one hour or so you will be standing outside.

Yes he can enter the embassy with you... no issue. Whether he can be at the window during the interview with you is totally up to the CO.

I was there with my wife during her interview.

Yes he will be able to attend but you may find true what Zedayn put forth as their experience. It's a great experience to attend and see how our immigration system works. You will also be amazed at the number of visa's that they process in one day. The place is PACKED. Bring him with you and have a wonderful time. You may never have this opportunity again.

Our experience was identical to yours. Even the "words" you use were almost identical.
