i don't think it's about trusting the cdc. i think it's about trusting people to do their jobs, the specialists involved. it's ridiculous the way people think that trusting all the hype, all the click bait is better than trusting the cdc. i'm pretty certain that the people who've made this their work don't want everyone dying of ebola, that is probably a big motivation behind their career choice - wanting to contain/understand disease and save lives.

But we can only trust Republican's to do their jobs. Everything wrong with the US is due to the preznit and liberals. Get with the program.

I would have voted for you before, but you're far to stable now.

Because the internet G. C'mon man, everyone is an expert.

Would you not agree that it is perfectly normal for some mistakes to be made by people that are put into an abnormal situation? I certainly would and I don't feel the least bit safer because of it. No matter what their level of expertise, people need time to get their stuff together and adjust to situations.

IDK, I consider it a but more than a simple mistake to tell someone it's ok to get on a plane with 100s of other people when you tell them you're not only feeling sick, but that you're a nurse that treated the guy that has Ebola in Dallas. I think people are blowing this off as no big deal, when it has the potential to be a really big deal.

Yeah, we could definitely write someone in for Gov next month. I was going to vote for Charlie Baker, but I can definitely see myself doing a write in vote for someone like UB, Eric or LIB. How bout you?

Yeah I would've agreed 100% with the above two weeks ago. Now that two nurses have tested positive and someone gave the ok for one of them to get a plane, I'm not as trusting as you seem to be.

Ok then. The head of the CDC came out and stated "there's nothing to see here, move along" concerning the first guy from Africa. Now we have two more patients that have tested positive. How many more positive test results will it take, before you realize maybe they don't know what they're talking about? 100? 1000? It's not like these two nurses were in an uncontrolled environment when they were infected. Now we have one of the nurses getting on a plane with 100s of other people with the OK of the CDC. I don't care if he is a tech 1. How is he even in a position to be giving nurses that treated an Ebola patient, that are symptomatic the OK to fly? That's more than just some procedural slip up. I consider a procedural slip up getting my tax refund check a month late. Telling a person it's ok to fly that is exhibiting symptoms of a highly contagious disease with 50+% mortality rate is a bit more than a procedural issue.

It hasn't spread out of the hospital which means he was correct not to shut down the city or whatever. I should also point out no other infected patients have flown to the states.

Tech1 issue should be investigated and if necessary the process/person should be corrected.

This whole thing is like being afraid of a bear attack when going camping despite the very very very real danger of being killed driving to the campground, which is completely ignored.

To put this whole Ebola scare into perspective, maybe try thinking of it this way. Approx 36,000 people in the US die every year from the influenza virus and no one blinks an eye. We have two people dead of Ebola and a couple more known to be infected, with at least four in recovery, and the country is going batshyt crazy. it really doesn't make much sense.

Influenza does not have a ~60% mortality rate. Apples and oranges.

So 2 dead is greater than 36,000 dead?

He doesn't? :wow: Then who is...........................
