We are still at NVC

Stuck at a very beginning, DS261 done, AOS paid but missing ...

Congratulations to all of you, it's nice to see so many of you at the end of this journey

But I gotta say, it's also pretty hard. This NVC outage has been really hard to bare.

I am really not trying to burst anyone's bubble, just wanted to ask you all who are with your spouses to hug them super tight for all of us who are still only dreaming of doing so.

Congratulations to all!

I am also still stuck at nvc. This process has been beyond frustrating. My IV fee was received on May 15, 2015 and still shows on the site as not paid, I have call so many times already and nothing. Hoping that we can continue on this horrible journey next week.

I lost all hope, its been one speed bump after another.

I feel like NVC has pressed the pause button to a lot of cases and we only get the abundance of excuses and apologies

Hi,

I know how you guys feel.. because I was also one of you and still waiting for the NVC decision. I don't know when thats gonna happen.

From the day of we sent i130 our process was slow. After USCIS approved our petition we did not get any response for more than 60 days. We called them so many times during this time. We were hopeless.

One day I called them, the lady I spoke told me to wait for another 30 days to get the welcome letter. I got really sad and my voice became lil high from my sadness. I told her I cant wait any more and I want to talk to her supervisor ini little harsh way. She transferred the call to another lady said supervisor. She was so nice to us and did apologies to me. She promised we get the response in the same day. As she promised DS261 was available the same day. Next day we got the welcome letter and further process was so fast. Later she called us and confirmed that she had sent the letter.

We never expected the rest of the process will go that faster. And we were not prepared with the packages. Because of our negligence we delayed sending packages, AOS and DS260 for few days.

I don't know whether this help anyone. Also I don't advise anyone to talk to NVC harshly. My experience, its just happened.

I pray for everyone to get it accepted. Good luck.

I have to add our experience to your too. From the posts above you can see that we had the hardest time in NVC. Unfortunately, in the past month and a half there were other circumstances that made the distance even more difficult. At this point we were at NVC for two and a half months, and all we had done was :

Case assigned 5/6

AOS paid by mail 5/20

DS261 filled and reviewed 6/1

Docs sent ds260 5/27

And nothing

The AOS bill was showing unpaid, IV bill never issued

Week of 7/17, after numerous calls, cries and trying to understand why I have asked for a supervisor. That was the second that I have encountered. I basically said everything I have done, what I was told and have asked her through tears if there is anything That I should be doing. The sup told me to send her a proof of payment to a different email. I did

Fast forward few days latter, another sup called me ( imagine my shock ) and told me that AOS bill is finally showing as paid. Yes. Two months later.

We talked and I have told her about the life changing events that have happened in a meanwhile. The sup was awesome and encouraged me ( something I never would do) to request en expedite. I did within 30 minutes. That was on 7/20

Yesterday, our case was delivered to our embassy and we are hoping to have and interview by the end of August. Finally.

I coding what you have said

Be kind, be polite, do whatever you can on your end to help the case and when asking for help be super kind.

Not only that it 'works' but it's a nicer life when we are.

Good luck everyone.

Ps Deedah, we didn't have RFE, our case took 179 days at USCIS, so it happens for cases to go over 5 months at this stage.

Depending on the circumstances, and unfortunately we had valid ones, but if you encounter a life treating situation, medical emergency, financial hardship... You can request an expedite. Just search this forum for the posts about the expedites.

I have to say I didn't handle that well at times. There were many, many days spent in tears, calling NVC for the record of 88 times in one day, just so I would be on a hold for an hour and a half and just to be told ' you have to wait' and so on

Last month was extremely difficult, and due to the circumstances we were both at the position that we needed each other badly, and fully. But, both of us were over stressed, over tired and over spent... There was little for us to give to each other while we needed each other the most.

Thankfully there is the light now at the end of the tunnel. Thanks to the NVC supervisors. I am eternally grateful to them.

Next week I am flying over to be with my husband, and hopefully we get to go back to States together.

If it wasn't for an expedite, I think we would be looking for an interview maybe in Sep but likely in Oct.

This was, and still is, one of the most challenging paths we have taken.

We consider ourselves pretty lucky in many aspects of our lives, but this journey and recent life changing events have made us even more appreciative of each other.

Hi,

I got checklist from NVC for police clearance. We have actually sent it with other documents but anyway 30 days more waiting :(

FYI - I applied Police Clearance for Dubai through mobile app(currently am working in Dubai) and in mobile app it says "Good Conduct Certificate". So they given me a certificate with 3 months validity. But now I again went to the police station with my passport, photo and Emirates ID and requested for "Police Clearance Certificate" for US Immigration. But this time they gave me a total different certificate with the title "Police Clearance Certificate". Earlier it was Good Conduct Certificate. I assume this is the reason why they sent me checklist for PCC. Anyway those who apply from Dubai please directly go to police station and apply for PCC. Good Conduct and PCC are different(looks).

Please help me - NVC asked only for PCC in checklist. Does that mean all my other documents are perfect? or again is there any chance to get a checklist? please help....
