My husband called USCIS and talked to tier 2. He told us that he didn't see any red flags in our case and we would get a response no later than May 13th. But nothing happened. So my husband sent a request. Their response was: Our case is still pending background checks and they didn't know how long it would take.

Congressman inquiry didn't help. He got an info from USCIS that our case is Nebraska and we need to wait more because NSC is overloaded.

Looks like we used all the possible sourses to speed up the process

I might be the only one left but finally our I-130 has been approved! Any one who had their case at Nebraska that could give an indication of how long it will take for the case to be sent and received by the NVC?

Congrats to all who got the approval

I got approval on 18th March. NVC received our case and updated to their system on 14th April. No NVC letter yet. But they have given my cased ID and Invoice number. Am able to login but can't do anything. Payment status shows "NOT INVOICED". I contacted NVC about 6 times but not getting any proper answer. They are saying that they are not able to tell when exactly we get the welcome letter and then only the payment will be active.

Did the medical in Copenhagen mid April and had the interview in Stockholm earlier this week. Are you also from Denmark? The medical and chest x-ray were booked for the same day. You should allow 2 weeks between medical and interview.

I'm from Sweden but I live in Denmark since the past 5 years. So I also have to see the doctor in Copenhagen. Did you wait for a letter from the embassy before you booked your medical? How long was the waiting time to get an appointment?

Late coming to the game but I filed in Oct.

Since then we have waited and finally had the NVC case complete on May 4th

Heading back to Egypt to be with my husband in a month for a month and hopefully he will get his interview letter between then but I am thinking it will be Aug based on the timelines for Egypt.

The medical was booked after receiving the interview appointment letter from NVC. The appointment was two weeks out, but that included the Easter holidays. The interview date is assigned by NVC.

Finally I received my passport with the Immigrant visa stamp yesterday.

We are planning to land in Sept, 2015.
