Got a text message today, April 1st, telling our I-130 was finally approved! Called my husband abroad and he wouldn't believe me thinking it was a April fools joke. He had to check the case status online to believe

PD was Oct. 22nd.

We did contact our state Senator the day the 5-month processing period expired. Not sure if it helped because we called their office yesterday and were told the staff in charge of Immigration issues was out and would be returning next week only.

I-130 FINALLY APPROVED! PD was October 30, 2014, and we got our approval on March 31, 2015. So we got our approval exactly 5 months and 1 day after NOA1. I still haven't received text or e-mail message, but status was changed online. I called my partner today, and she thought it as an April Fool's joke too! Good luck to everyone still waiting for NOA-1. It looks like they are finally making their wy though the October filers.

Congratulations to you both!

Please help with any guidance

I have placed a SR on 03/18, that was assigned on 03/23

I called in on Tuesday and was told that my target date in 04/02, and that if nothing happened by then to call in , so I called today

Today, the tier2 rep basically almost hang up and said that target date is an approximate date and that there is nothing I can do.

I am calling back, but am hoping any of you might have any insights or guidance?

Thank you!

Agnik not always they update the website so I suggest u to call NVC to see if they already received ur case. I think they already did.

USCIS sent my case to NVC on March 20 and NVC have not received it yet - we called NVC yesterday. I just hope it didn't got lost in transit :( ...so I assume unfortunately they did not receive your case either but who knows ;)

I did contact the Senator

was told that it can take 1-2 weeks for them co contact the USCIS

Not sure if I should contact the congressman as well, because I am thinking that the Senator has a lot more cases to help then my local congressman. And I don't wanna overkill the issue by asking two sources for help, but then again I would like to use the help that its available

10 months for the I-130 only? Doesn't sound right - it can happen, unfortunately, but it's not the "normal processing time".

10 months for the USCIS, NVC and Consulate combined? Sounds about right, this is usually how long it takes - or more.

No, he was specific that is USCIS time,

and he even said.. 'you must have seen 5 month on the website.. that is no longer the case'

I am so lost

I had placed few calls in February since I had a forwarding address on my mail in Dec 2014, since I was out of the country for our wedding. So the piece of mail got returned. I called them and squared away the address issue, the first change of address confirmation never reach me, so I called again and finally got that resolved.

Today, he said .. "well, this is the 6th time you are calling, you have to be patient and there is NOTHING you can do, ok mam?!?! I know that you want your husband here but you have to wait"
