What address will they mail the NOA1 hardcopy to? Your current listed on I-130? I ask because the South African postal service is on strike and nothing will come through. Perhaps I should call after i receive my e-mail?

The NOA1 is mailed to the petitioners current address from the I-130. Though it is nice to have the hardcopy, it is not essential to continue the process. If you filed form G-1145 for E-notification, you will receive your receipt number in the email sent, and can use that to track your case on the USCIS site.

Yep, it's hard to think it would be necessary to receive the hard copy. It didn't really contain any special information when compared to the email notification.

Our I-130 petition that we sent at the beginning of the month has just been approved and is on its way to the NVC. We haven't actually received the NOA 2 email but we checked online and it's on the way! Just for reference we mailed the petition the first week of October and today is the 25th of October.

We're applying from abroad through the Chicago office. From there they sent us to California. It looks like they're expediting in California.

My I-130 was received on Oct 16th. I received a text and now a NOA 1. When I do a case status check it shows initial review. The NOA shows Oct 16th as the received date, but online it shows Oct. 6th.

My question is when do I find out what service center I'm going to? I'm from California, so I'm hoping for CSC.

We received the NOA1 by email but the actual website jumped from initial review to approved. My wife was checking every day. We actually haven't received the NOA 1 letter yet!

Update to website showing status: I called the USCIS number today and asked since my case is still not showing online. She told me exactly as mentioned before in this thread. Until it is 30-45 days after you receive your NOA1, you just have to sit tight. Hopefully they just haven't gotten so far as to add it to the system yet, but it is sitting on a desk somewhere at the NSC.
