Any time I hear a beeping sound of new email arrival or a txt message, I cross my fingers that is USCIS

We were so patient up until now but ever since Octobar applications started appearing on a approved list, the waiting became too painful.

I know the road until the end is too long, and there is a lot of road to be covered ahead.. But the rest stop would be nice.

To all October filers- GOOD LUCK!

Little confusion regards the NVC Letter ..Will NVC send the letter to my wife ( who is in abroad ) or me ? Or both ?

Also DS-261 can be done by me ( applicant/Petitioner ) online or my wife has to do it ?

Thanks in advance

If you got email from USCIS, NVC will have that same email address. The NVC welcome letter will be emailed to both the petitioner and the beneficiary - but both to the only email address on record. The one to the petitioner includes an AOS invoice if memory serves me right. The snail mail letter will be sent to the beneficiary, about a month later - it's a duplicate of the email. If you suspect that it's taking too long to get the email, by all means call NVC. They can give you the case number and invoice identification number over the phone once the case number has been assigned. FYI - the representatives can not enter your email addresses until after the case number is assigned.

The DS-261 can be completed by the visa applicant(I-130 beneficiary), the petitioner, or a third party agent (such as a lawyer).

Read through Saylin's NVC wiki on this site while you wait. It's filled with lots of useful information that will help you know what to expect. Please be aware that many people go ahead and send in their AOS/IV package after the AOS fee is paid. It get's the 60 day review clock started, during which you can pay the IV fee and fill out the DS-260. Also be sure to follow instructions on nvc.state.gov, noting that docs can be sent a little ahead of what's listed there.

Hope all goes smoothly for you. :)

I am right there with you.

I see some end of October apps getting approved and anxiety is kicking in. Now, I know that there have been some Aug Sep and even Feb 2014 aprovals just in the past few days and that there are quite few before us that are still waiting for a approval, but the 'skipping over us' makes me sad.

Ili try to shut down my expectations until mid next week.

Then why are 10/23 applications getting approved?

Btw they told me the same thing on Tuesday.

I guess they will actually update the current disclosed date next week.

At least I am hoping that's why the date hasn't changed in few days, that they adjust the 'currently working on date' on weekly basis.

Let's hope.

I haven't been here for a while, but hey, congratulations for a Case Complete, DKNC! Your processing was super fast, wow! :dancing:

Also congrats to all of you who finally received your NOA2!

We're still processing our AOS package... proving domicile has been a challenge and I just hope they'll be light on us, since my husband has been abroad with me for the past eight years. He was just a student when he came here and we married, intending to go back (with me) in a year, but then life happened and the kids happened and so... we don't have much to provide as evidence but we're doing our best. (What did you use as proof of domicile, DKNC?) Planning to send the AOS & IV packages off this coming Monday to our co-sponsor, who will then add her stuff and send the whole thing to NVC.

Just checked and no IV invoice yet...

Thanks, Susan. We got super lucky with processing time at NVC. Kels should have gotten case complete first, but her case must have gotten on a slow person's desk.

Since we filed the AOS waiver, we will first provide proof of domicile at the interview. Bit worried about that. Plan to show email communications with potential schools for the kids as well as with my US realtor and Danish moving companies. We just sold our house, so that should also show my intent to reestablish domicile. Can't do much more until we have the visa. There's a list of items to use to prove reestablishment of domicile in Saylin's NVC wiki. Check it out if you haven't already.

I take it you finally got those IRS transcipts. Yay!

Thanks DKNC, and yes we did finally receive the IRS transcripts! :) We checked this forum and some other links for re-establishing domicile, and in our situation the bank accounts and "lease" agreement from family are the best proof we can offer. Let's hope it's enough! :)
