Our IV fee bill was invoiced yesterday - 42 days after submitting the DS 261. :wow: Very glad that I didn't wait to submit the AOS/IV documents.

Hooray!!! We've pretty much been twins throughout this process. Hoping to get some good news soon!!! I was optimistic and hopeful at one point thinking maybe we'd squeeze in for an April interview but the more I look at it it'll likely be May or June. (assuming no checklists)

My husband and I are starting to think about him coming to visit soon since he does have a visitors visa. It's been so hard being apart so I'm excited for that! I can't leave my fate in immigration's hands much longer.

Keep up the optimism. With your late January scan date, an April interview is quite possible. Keep the faith! That lousy winter weather held up our document delivery, but I'm still crossing my fingers that we make the April cut off even though it is a long shot. In our case, it's not the end of the world if we get pushed a month. We are both living in Denmark and can't move until late July/early August due to commitments here. I'm just praying that we don't get a checklist. I want this process to be done already! Patience is not my strong suit.

I can't imagine how tough it must be for you to be away from your husband for so long. I am very lucky that I don't have to go through the separation. Hopefully you can see your husband soon! :luv:

heheh mine is on a more permanent one :) it seems like most embassies schedule the first two weeks of the month for the following month. So if we don't receive a receive a date the first two weeks of March then prob out for getting an April date. I over-analyze these things though and then NVC will completely prove me wrong lol so can't bank on much staying consistent. We will just have to wait and see!

So sorry for your frustration, Susan. :protest:

 I found this on the NVC site if you get to the point that you don't want to wait any longer. Obviously there are no W-2s for income not earned from work in the US, but I imagine that the FEC worksheet(s) filled out for foreign earned compensation would be the substitute. Probably a lot of paperwork to mail, but an option none the less if you have all the necessary tax returns.

If you cannot obtain an IRS tax transcript: If you are unable to obtain an IRS tax transcript, submit a photocopy of your IRS Federal Income Tax Returns and Form(s) W-2 or schedule(s) from the most recent tax year.

I hope that things work out soon!

I have been following this thread for a while, and have just been waiting for the NO2, which we still havent received. Today I decided to check the status of our case and there was finally an update :)

"Case Was Sent To The Department of State On March 3, 2015, we sent your case, Receipt Number XXXXX, to the Department of State for visa processing. Please visit our website for general information on Consular Processing. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address."

The question is now what does that mean, and what do we do from here? We haven't received anything in the mail.

Kind regards

Maria

Hi Maria.

You should have gotten an NOA2 by email when your petition was approved (and by snail mail about a week later). Since your case has been sent to the DoS (NVC), that means you were approved within the last month. :) Congratulations! It can take up to 42 days to get a case number assigned at NVC. If you have the patience for it, you can try calling NVC in a couple of weeks to see if/when they received your case from USCIS. Otherwise, you should (in theory) get an email Welcome Letter from NVC when the case number is assigned (if you submitted your email with the I 130).
