Update: Despite it 'not being required,' our document package was scanned today! It's in Portsmouth, and should be delivered tomorrow, February 3rd. Time for the happy dance:

Express Service is required to be scanned, you must of spoke to someone that didn't know what they are talking about.

Very happy for those who get approved so quick but is a lil unfair how many people have to wait months to get approved.

We filed at the beginning of the month through the Chicago office. It took about a week but it was received and approved and is now on its way to the California office.

there are quite few of us left

I think we are about a month away at least form a potential NOA2

fingers crossed

p.s. I love DR! :) Bayahibe, Isla Saona, Catalina, Cabarette, La Romana... and few other cities :)

That is such a relief. I am a big believer in celebrating the small victories!! I am sure that puts your mind at ease a bit. God willing the NVC will open tom and they'll scan it in. :dancing:

There are around 12 October filers on this thread that are waiting for the NOA2, and lots more that haven't joined us here. Now that we are at month 4 for some, there's bound to be some NOA2s coming soon. :yes: I hope that the wait isn't too much longer. This process is definitely a test of patience!

You're not alone, we are also waiting now for over 100 days :(

USCIS says cases are processed on as received order, but doesn't seem like it - some cases go a lot faster, even 2 weeks between NOA1 and NOA2!

Its defenitely not processed in order there are people here that got there NOA2 fast. But i guess there is nothing that can be done but wait. My NOA1 is from Oct 3 aleast we are alot closer not

Nah Maribe1P, I'm on the same boat. Still waiting. But getting closer to the date. We just need to get prepared with everything NVC needs so we don't waste time then.

Those of you who are waiting are you able to see your case online? I have not been able to see my case at all before it used to say validation error, now it says my case status does not recognize your receipt number.. This is torture lol.

Yes - it hasn't changed, but the status can be seen online.

You should call the Nebraska center (phone number on your notice) and choose the option "I don't have / don't know my receipt number" and try to talk to someone. You should be able to see it by now, but hopefully, they will finish the process quickly and issue your approval.

Ours took a couple weeks to show up online and I called them.

So sorry for those of us (October filers) who haven't moved from USCIS to NVC. I am praying for you. Sometimes i think NVC is slow on my cases but when i read all of this ranting, i am thankful to God for this far. I would only advice you to put all of the required papers in order for a smooth sail at NVC. I am so feeling you. We all need to be with our spouses..

sorry to hear for the couples who are still waiting for their NOA2, I will be keeping my fingers crossed that your wait won't be any longer.. Hang in there, and like CeeMu has mentioned, you can already start gathering documents for the AOS and IV packets.. so that as soon as you guys get your case number you can send them off right away.
