So happy today, hubby just called NVC to ask them to review our DS-261.. they said in 3 days we shall have our IV invoice.. Hopefully so!

I know my question is kind of out of place.. but for those who submitted the AOS form, and did not have an Alien Registration Number, what did you put on the section where it asks for it? Blank or 0's or dashes?

I read on some threads you put 0's, but then my barcode changes when I do that. Also did you actually follow the instructions and leave the N/A's and None's blank?

I've been reading threads and they're mixed answers. I don't want to wait for 2 more months because of a checklist that pertains to this

Sorry, I did a I134 many years ago and it had to be notarized.

I typed out as much as I could. I think I will write N/A or None as it is applicable to be on the safe side.

Hey, just curious, does anyone know whether we'll need the NOA2 at some point of this process? I know you need it to adjust status on a fiance visa, but since we'll be getting the 10-year GC and won't need to adjust, is there any other reason for wasting our energy in trying to get it?

Sorry, I am of no help on this one. Have alien number & filed the AOS waiver (864-W). If you haven't already, try posting on the NVC January filers thread. Is this by chance covered in Saylin's NVC wiki?

I can't think of a reason why you'll HAVE to have the NOA2. If you'd LIKE to have it, fill out the online request at USCIS:

I filled out the I-864EZ so we didn't have the barcode but if the form can be filled out by hand it can't read the entire thing with the barcode at the bottom correct?

Personally I put N/A in the box asking for Alien registration number. I wouldn't put 0's.

I didn't follow the instructions I put N/A in any box that was to be left blank. Just a personal thing and saw that suggestion on this site quite a bit.

That's how the I-130 was for me and all my addresses (petitioner) I had to do so much research finding all my addresses and attached another page. I think I had about 15!

Did you ever receive the e-mailed copy of the NOA2? That's all we ever got but unfortunately I am not sure on that one. Sorry!

My payment portal shows different today, as in, it is blank on where it normally shows "Not Invoiced", i guess it will reflect tomorrow with the bill.

I know this is early yet as we do not even have our NOA2 yet, but I've seen other talk about past addresses on the DS-260. When I mentioned to my wife that it asks for addresses all the way back to when she was 16, she was very surprised. She told me she doesn't even think she has all the addresses anymore. How complete should the addresses be? If she does not know a specific address (house or apartment), can she just put the city? I'm not even sure I could remember all the addresses since I was 16. That is 20+ years worth for both of us.

As far as I am concerned and have read, yes. I haven't seen it ever cause a checklist and have seen others indicating an NVC rep confirmed to send in when documents are ready.

I paid my AOS yesterday and I see it was already drafted from my account today. I'm going to send both packages tomorrow. I think from reading this is the fastest way.
