I was told it could take 30-45 days to find the case number online and for the customer service number to find it. I found this information out because the beneficiary name on our NOA1 is not fully correct, so I called to have them fix it

How to check case number online? which website do i check?

After silently watching the progress of others, I finally worked up the nerve to call NVC today. I called at the start of their business day, and was on hold for about 20 minutes. Not bad given the horror stories I've read on VJ. I talked to a very friendly rep (missed her name) and she confirmed that my case was received at NVC on the 6th of December and that I should get a case number next week. Since I've read that the NVC welcome email can be delayed by about a week, I will probably make another call next week. I need to get this process moving.

For those still waiting for their NOA2, I hope that those approvals are right around the corner. I also hope that NVC picks up some speed with assigning case numbers, so that you can move swiftly through the rest of the process. :energy:

We have very similar timelines! I'm bummed about this delay...I also am so ready to get this process moving. (Aren't we all I guess??) Anyway I pray early next week you will have your case #. Good luck!

Think I may spare myself the call today after reading yours. Will try Monday :)

Hi all,

Feeling a little lonely tonight and looking for support from folks who understand. Submitted i-130 October 30, and got NOA1 November 3. Applied from the US and case sent to Nebraska. Still waiting for NOA2....

Has anybody with a similar situation received their NOA2 yet? I'm hoping it doesn't take the full 5 months, but if it does, we're halfway there.

I know, it's frustrating! We see CSC approving December petitions now and we're still waiting. Looking at the CSC data on here, it seems like the couples (like us) who've been married for longest get stuck in the approval process somehow. That seems really strange to me, and frustrating as well of course. Boooo.
