My case arrived at the NVC, November 12, one week after the NOA2, I'm still waiting for a case number. I don't know why I continue to torture myself by calling every other day, but I can't seem to stop myself. I guess a generic answer is still more comforting than no answer.

Our kids are teenagers. Although they are older, they are at good breaking points in school come summer. Our plan is to move to a new location for the both of us. It is both exciting and stressful. With no family in the area, it will be critical for one of us to find a job prior to the move so we can afford housing. That could mean living apart near the end. How about you? Familiar location or new frontier?

We're not quite sure about the area yet, it all depends on work. Which is also an incredibly difficult thing to manage and plan for when you have no idea when you're going to be moving... We don't want the kids to have to be separated from either one of us parents for longer than a few months at max, so we just have to wait until the process is done.

So far, no news. I don't think I have seen any approvals from CSC in a long time?

I was quoted 42 days. I'm on day 29... I managed to resist calling them yesterday, I'll probably try giving them a call again today. Still no response in regards to my expedite request either. I even emailed the embassy to check the status, as the request are forwarded to them from the NVC, but no response. This whole process is just sickening.

So on November 21st they suspended our case for request of additional info. We live in Brazil and I`m extremely upset we have not received our instructions in the mail. Website says to wait until December 21st in order to notify them that we have not yet received it. Has anyone else lost their mail? It`s so frustrating that we are wasting time, getting behind our journey!!!

NOA1 never arrived in the mail ether. Just the email. I never requested it because I have no idea how to, USCIS website just gives me the latest update (case suspension)

I have never personally been through anything like this, so if someone with more experience has a suggestion, please speak up.

Based on the fact that you have yet to receive your NOA1 in the mail, I would say that either the mail service is very slow, or it is unreliable. What I would suggest is calling back to USCIS and explain to them that the mail in Brazil is very unreliable not forgetting to mention that you still have yet to receive your NOA1 hard copy. Ask them if there is a way to have the RFE emailed to you or at the very least provided to you over the phone. If they tell you please wait until December 21st, you could always hang up and try again until you get someone that is willing to help.

In the end you may have to wait until December 21st, but it doesn't hurt to try. If you do end up waiting until December 21st, I'd call and ask to speak directly with a tier 2 rep.

Baseado no fato de que você ainda tem que receber o seu NOA1 no e-mail, gostaria de dizer que, ou o serviço de correio é muito lento, ou não é confiável. O que eu sugiro é chamando de volta para USCIS e explicar-lhes que o e-mail no Brasil é muito confiável não esquecendo de mencionar que você ainda ainda tem que receber a sua cópia impressa NOA1. Pergunte-lhes se há uma maneira de ter o RFE enviado a você ou, pelo menos, desde a você por telefone. Se eles dizem que por favor aguarde até 21 de dezembro, você pode sempre desligar e tentar novamente até chegar alguém que está disposto a ajudar.

No final, você pode ter que esperar até 21 de dezembro, mas não custa tentar. Se você acabar esperando até 21 de dezembro, eu chamar e pedir para falar diretamente com um representante de nível 2.

Tier 2 reps have a little more knowledge/abilities than the standard rep you get when you call.

Make sure to go back and edit your post to remove your case number from the body of the email.

It's up to you if you want to call the NVC if they received your case. They would give you a spiel though saying to wait for 35 days after you got the approval so that you can get your case number.
