Very happy for those who get approved so quick but is a lil unfair how many people have to wait months to get approved.

We filed at the beginning of the month through the Chicago office. It took about a week but it was received and approved and is now on its way to the California office.

My pd date is October 3, 2014 and i still haven't heard anything and i am not able to see my case online. It says case not found. :(

Sorry about that, have you tried calling them? Some say that the case will reflect when you either get approved or get an RFE.. I am really sorry because I know it can be frustrating trying to just be with your husband/wife.. and all you can do is wait for their decision. :(

I will keep my fingers crossed that you get an update soon. Hang in there..

I am sorry I could be wrong but on your time line it says your NOA 1 was oct 3rd if that is the case you will be waiting a lot longer fiancé visa are approved faster and some spousal visa are approve faster for different circumstance. On your time line it say you are applying for a IR/Cr-1 visa I do not think they are expediting petitions from the Dominican republic and I think you will have to wait a while. You should of at least been able to check your case online if I was you I will call them to see why you can not check your case ,maybe you are a lucky one and are getting your case process faster

Congrats! I'm happy for you! I'm following your timeline because we have the same service center. I'm still waiting for my NOA2. I hope they won't ask for the NSO marriage license but if anything we are prepared.

yes.my approval was fast even with a RFE for NSO copy of marriage certificate. I think they are still expediting applications for the Philippines because of the big typhoon Yolanda last year.

Just a few days ahead of you. Let me know if you hear anything from NVC, I am going to try and call this morning as well. I can't wait around and do nothing haha! Even if it's 30 mins on hold to hear, "not yet". :clock:

For 30 minutes I have redialed until I was able to get in and waited another 35 minutes just to hear someone's voice! (thank God for Google Voice or else I wouldn't be able to call that much and wait that long) haha. well I feel bad for them as I know they are handling thousands of calls every day..

anyway, the only response I got was it takes 35 days for them to receive the case :( I guess NVC is becoming slower now with the processing since more and more petitions are being approved faster than before.

Let us know what their response to you is. :P

haha! I also redialed almost 50 times over an hour, finally after 30 mins spoke to a rep and same story ....They said I have to allow up to 5 weeks. :(

UGH. Will wait til next week and try again. Because I'm a sucker for torture lol. :cry:
