October 2014 Filers (I-130 Petition) CR1 Spouse Visa Process

It is so unfair that USCIS approve people who applied later, if it was a fair process it should be a first come first served but apparently there is just no standards for the process... it is like being waiting in line at the Bank for 3 hours and somebody comes in and goes directly to the counter!!!

I am fine on waiting with patience until my time comes but what really makes me crazy is seeing people being approved in less than 2 months and then people like me having to wait, I would really like USCIS to explain us, people who is paying them why the process is so unreliable!!

Sorry for the rant but I just think that the way they process the applications is just all over the place.

We just have to be patient my neighbor cuz this is a frustrating process. I am feeling more relax cuz my husband come to visit me each 3 months, he is coming the 28th of march but he is not coming back until my interview, empty pocket and no more permission from his employer which has been very flexible by the way. I hope I can have my interview in 5 months at less 161 days in this process.???

It is very unfair. My pd is Oct 3, 2015. And i have called numerous times on Feb. 4, 2015 the supervisor i spoke to put in a service request i received the response via mail on saturday March 7, 2015 to allow additional time since they process the cases in order it is received. Which is bull since a lot of people who sent out after us get approved sooner. This whole process is so frustrating

For those who haven't heard anything, I strongly suggest to keep calling the NVC. Such as my case, I have received my case number and paid the AOS but haven't heard the IV application number for 2 weeks, then I call to them, the next day they billed me the IV application fee so that I can submit my visa application form on-line successfully.

Another sharing is according to my case number first 3 letters, I was told to send my package by eamil is enough, so I follow it. However,I called the NVC to check did they receive it successfully ? They ask me send the package in physical mail. I was totally wasted 2 weeks.......... Once I sent the package by DHL, I receive the acknowlege email 2 days later.

So, as per my junior experience, if you have any uncertain, must make the phone call although it will make you to wait at least 30 minutes......

Good luck everyone.

The last few posters, including me, are still waiting for the NOA2 from USCIS. I wish calling them had any effect, the people answering the phone can't do anything.

@toozler ask to speak to a tier 2 officer...that first person can't actually see your case and can't do much but reading from the computer.

Hmm.. our PD is OCT 10. When we called them first time they said us to wait for 4 months to hear anything and after 4 months we called again and now they are telling us to wait for 2 more months.

Why would they say 4 months in the first place? The processing times posted on their website is 5 months.

It baffles me where the $420 I-130 filling fee goes. How many hours of actual work are necessary for each application? Say 8 hours? Isn't a single I-130 application fee enough to pay the hourly wage of the staff to process each application?

Well I think in 7 days they gonna start proccesing October files at NSC, when the Immigration Time here was in Sept 1st there were lot of cases being approved from sept that day. Today Immigration Times says NSC Sept 18 Tomorrow it's going to be Sept 20th by Tuesday or Wednesday they are starting Oct files regarding to the estimated time here on VJ.

Fingers Crossed. Hope it doesn't take longer than 5.5 months ??? Good Night!
