For example: If you look at people on the spreadsheet (I posted the link above) who had a CC in the middle of September, you see that NVC didn't schedule their interviews until early October and that they didn't get an interview for October anymore but for November.

If someone else reschedules or cancels their interview at your embassy, you might get their slot and thus an earlier date instead. And if your case was expedited, your interview is also scheduled sooner than normally.

Gotcha! I was looking at the online calendar and see hundreds of open slots for our Embassy. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Thanks!

Would it be worth it now if I call and request for the case to be expidited? I don't want them to delay it more than what it already is. Before getting approved by the USCIS, I had an RFE. When all documents were sent to NVC, I apparently forgot to sign my AOS and it was returned so that delayed it 4 weeks more. I really don't know now fast the Embassy in Dominican Republic works.

I was referring to people who had their expedite request approved during the processing of their documents at NVC. I don't think you can get your case expedited through NVC after having a case complete anymore. You could try to get in touch with your embassy once NVC has scheduled your interview and ask for an earlier interview date (but be prepared to explain why). People receiving RFEs at the USCIS stage is something very common and if you forgot to sign your AOS, it was your own fault, so I don't know how high your chances would actually be to convince the embassy to give you an earlier date.

Thanks!

You're welcome and good luck!

LOL!! I am not blaming anyone because I did not sign the AOS. I just received the interview letter for Nov 18.

Thank you all for the information. Have a great weekend!
