The embassy in Buenos Aires told me that I need to present my W2's for the last three years. Actually we have a co sponsor, and the embassy said that they need copies and the originals of the w2 forms. Is this really a requirement? We have everything else organized, but this seems a little much to ask for the originals.

Just out of curiosity, had you already given the consulate copies of your income tax returns or tax transcripts?
