Hi

My name is Juana I know that I'm wrong here but I'm new here and I don't know how can open a new Topic for I-130,

but I hope someone can help me here.

I'm a German citizen and I came to America June 19, 2013, and married my husband Adam July 03, 2013.

So we applied for I-130 September 15, 2013.

I do my Fingerprints October 11, 2013, January 07,2014 they send me I-797

and then my Husband became his citizen in May 21, 2014.

I want to ask how long it's take to become a green card or anything because,

I haven't receipt green card, social sec. or visa.. !

I can't have a driver license because I need a social sec. number.

I'm so tired I became for 2 month a daughter and must wait for my husband to drive us to the doctor or shopping..

Can someone please help me

Thank u for any Information

Juana

Sorry I forget to write I become I-485 on January 7, 2014 too.

My problem is my husband becomes his citizen on May 21, 2014, they told us it's take not longer than 4-5 months than I become my green card.. I'm still waiting..

And I don't have a social sec. number to do a driver license, I must wait for my husband or take a taxi.

I'm tired..

I hope u understand me

Juana, you can apply for a social security card once you enter the country before your I-94 expires. After it expires, if you haven't applied by then, you must wait for your EAD working card before you can apply again.

I would safely assume by now you have your EAD card. All you need to do is go to http://www.ssa.gov/ and find your nearest local office. You can either make an appointment or just walk in. Be sure to bring 1. Your Passport, 2. One other form of picture ID, 3. Your marriage certificate 4. A piece of mail with your name and address on it like a bank statement or bill.

In any case, you should get your green card like 7-8 months after AOS, sometimes up to a year if they decide to waive your green card interview. Good Luck!

sure - take the receipt notice, formletter I-797, on the I-485 (not the I-130)

make a photocopy of it,

include it with the I-765 application - the fee is waived when you include a copy of that receipt notice.

did USCIS upgrade petitioner's status, showing USCitizenship, or no ? If he's still pegged as a LPR, that could add some slowness to stuff.

ok - so chase next, form I-765.

Once you have the EAD card in yer hand, you can get SSN easily, then start participating in USA society with easier stuff like being able to get a drivers license, handle bank accounts, get a job, etc.
