Info for others. I rescheduled my wife's CR-1 interview in HCMC.

Unlike many here we are in no rush to immigrate. We have a house in Saigon and I will work in Asia until next year so delaying the interview made sense to us. Also we've been visiting the US with the wife's B-2 visa so it really makes no difference if she interviews now or not.

According to the consulate website you can reschedule an interview for any reason.

I rescheduled the consulate interview with a scanned copy of the completed attached form and sent e-mail with the attached using the consulates online enquire system. I requested an interview date in May 2015. The consulate responded in 2 days with e-mail saying the request has been processed and to resubmit the request in March 2015 to schedule the interview date in May 2015.

I got NOA-1 middle of August 2013. NOA-2 early February 2014. The interview would have been 12 months after NOA-1 but I made a mistake on the AOS at the NVC and it took an extra 2 months to process the checklist.
