Hi,

I am new to this forum and this question may have been asked before. I am an F-1 Student in my final semester. The semester ends on December 17th so I will be in my 60 day grace period from that point onward.

I am marrying my girlfriend of 3 years, who is a US citizen, on November 4th, before the end of the semester.

What I would like to know is, if i apply for adjustment of status during the 60 day grace period, can I legally stay in the US while my application is pending.

I'd appreciate any responses. Also if you are able to provide a link to any government official websites that provide this information I will be forever thankful

Thanks in advance guys and gals!

Yes you can. Once you file you are in a new period of authorized stay pending outcome of your application.

You can AOS and stay here. Do not leave US till you have AP (I-131) in hand.

Done with K1, AOS and ROC
