Hello all,

My fiance did end of having his interview on Thursday, the 21st. He said the interviewer said that she couldn't issue the visa that day, she had to forward his file to another department. He was given some generic form that said they had to "confirm his visa eligibility" and they would contact him if they needed any additional information from him or if they needed to schedule another interview. The form wasn't a 221g nor did it specify AP/AR or that any documents were missing. NO reason was given. We don't understand this.

Needless to say, I'm devastated. My fiance is sad, but is trying to be strong and positive for my sake. He says the interview seemed to go well. He answered all the questions, we had all the documents and supporting evidence. It's so unfair!!!!!!!!!!! I don't know why they're doing this. Right now, I'm just so depressed, angry, and frustrated!!!!! I called the consular section Thursday, but the person I spoke to was unable to give me any specific information and suggested that I e-mail them. I e-mailed them, but they were already out of the office, and they're closed on Friday. If I don't receive a response early Monday, I'll call them again. If we don't get any specific answers from them or if his visa isn't granted by the end of next week, then I'll contact my senator. We're not giving up!!

i am so sorry to hear about your situation. my thoughts are with you and fingers crossed that it's just some silly thing and that he gets his visa after you follow up on monday. i'm sure no words can off you any real comfort but we are with you!

Hi All members:

I have a few questions for who have already finished their I-134, Affidavit of Support.

1. As I understand that I can list a real estate property, if any. If I do list a real estate property, should I also attach a copy of the deed of the house to the form?

2. I kind of know the value of my house in my neighborhood. But should I provide any very formal estimate from any type of agency to prove the value of my house?

3. Did you guys attach bank statements to this form? How many months of statement should I provide?

4. I think I need to provide my tax return. How many years of tax return should I attach to this form?

I hope everyone is well. Thank you for your kind words and for keeping us in your thoughts. Please forgive my silence, but this situation is very difficult to talk about. I've been trying to find out from the consular section in Dakar exactly why this happened. I'll keep you posted of any new developments.

Hello everyone! I'm here now with my future husband! Boy, it was a long way to be here... 28 hours, Jesus! But thank God, I made it here safe and sound and seeing David at the airport made me forget about the long and tiring trip... and oh, the jetlag. He's worth everthing to me! It seems so surreal that I am here with him. I had to pinch myself till I got bruised just to make sure I wasn't dreaming. Anyway, it's going to be a busy month for me with all the adjustments to make, meeting my future in-laws, some new friends, plus the wedding preparations on top of everything.

WE DID IT WOO HOO!!! Visa to be picked up on Tuesday afternoon he has a flight into SFO for POE at midnight!

Another December filer in the bag...for those remaining best best best of luck! at some point when my feet touch the ground i will post more.
