Hi everyone,

This is a copy of my post from the 3rd wk NVC thread. How's everything going with you all?

Hello everyone,

Hope all is well. The embassy in Senegal received our petition on Tuesday!! :D  I had e-mailed them on 04/20 to see if they had received it, but they didn't respond until yesterday. I'm assuming because they hadn't received it yet.

They attached all the instructions and documents that my fiance will need for the visa. There wasn't really a separate "packet 3" or "packet 4". The instructions say to gather all the required documents, then call the embassy to schedule the interview. I'm not sure now if they expect me to forward the info to him, or if they'll contact him personally. Well, I'll just forward it to him if they don't.

Oh my goodness, things are really moving now!! It seems like the closer it gets the more anxious and impatient I become. Am I the only one? For those of you who have received packet 3, what did it contain?

Shanon :star:

Updates anyone? anyone?.... :content:

Not much new here, I know the petition left the NVC on the 20th. I have emailed the consulate in Nicaragua everyday since Tuesday  They have been good about replying daily but they say they don't have our case yet. Today they didn't reply to my email so I think they have decided to just wait 'til they have the case so I will stop emailing them. Anyway, I am getting the stuff together that he needs from me for the interview and telling him to be patient that it will all come together soon...hmm, I guess I should listen to my own advice....

LOL K & O! Thanks Karoline! I see your interview is coming up next week! I hope everything goes fabulously! Eli, call DHL at 1-800-225-5345 to get tracking info. You'll need the approx shipping date, origin zip code -03801, and the destination city/country. Oh, they may also ask for the shipper's name, which is US Dept of State. Gosh I love this website! If it weren't for VJ, I wouldn't have know any of the above info.

Hey guys, here comes our update!!!

The consulate received our petition mondays and so I kinda expected package 3 wednesdays.....and yup....I had it in mail, I sure was excited as hell about that fact, that it went so well for the first time!

I mailed it back yesterday (via express) and today I already had a paper stating that I had to fill out form DS-230 Part I once again (#20 residences).

I didn't understand their problem, so I called....the woman told me, that she doesn't know why and that I just should fill it out again and sent it back. I called John who suggested to call again, to find out what they want and if the woman can't help to get transfered to someone who knows. So I call again and yep.....the same woman picks up the phone. After I gave her the casenumber she realized that I just called again and she got annoyed

I appologized and told her that I am just very frustrated and that I don't want to send the form back in without changes to just receive the same letter again. 'There is nothing else, we could do about it' was the nice response.....I love these answers <_< !!!

Anyways, back on chat with my sweetheart and once again I go through the form..every detail and OOOOPS.....I realized that on my G-325 form I put 2003 and on the DS-230 I I put 2002 DUH :bonk:

So I guess and hope that this was the problem, otherwise I have no idea at all!!!

I sent it back via express too...kinda just got back from it, and monday they will have it....and then I might call again to schedule an interview appointment  . I just hope that this same woman wont pick up the phone again  she might give me one next year then :( lol

soooooooooo.....keep your fingers crossed for an early one :D

Diana, Yay! So glad that you got Packet 3 so fast! I love how fast Frankfurt is about getting the packets out. I'm sure that mistake in the year was the problem, so everything will go smoothly from now on!

Btw, can you actually call Frankfurt and schedule your interview? I wish I had known that a month ago and then maybe we wouldn't have had to wait 6 weeks for our interview :P But then again when I did call them after they had scheduled the interview they said there was no way to change it to an earlier date (maybe it was the same lady you talked to regarding your form!)...so, oh well. We only have one more week til the interview so the waiting is ALMOST over! Thank God! Actually at this time next week the interview will be complete, woohoo!

Thank you Destiny'sJourney for your good wishes for our interview. I'm getting so nervous, but I know everything will be just fine :)

Good luck to all!

@ Karolina (and Paul) - we're pushing our thumbs up  on a swift and painless interview.. I suspect you've been in direct contact with Karin on the matter... We won't breath right until you guys (Paul, Diana) are through this... :star:

@Diana - phew!...that's my first reaction...(ok, besides 'about @@#%@ time...lol).. I can not think of anything that could be/go wrong on the DS-230 (besides what you said) except you're not to sign it until you're there in front of the officer (in fact not to complete #35 and beyond).... Hope your changes will satisfy their curiosity...

@Eli...that's great news...hopefully very soon the mailman will arrive with something really nice.. =)

I didn't know you could call to schedule an interview either...hmmm.. let us know please...
