Just a tip though: It might be totally different in Germany and I'm not sure how the prices go there, but I called the doctors here in London and they said that to get a blood test to see which vaccines one needed, costed a lot more than actually getting all of the vaccines over again -which is not harmful! Just an idea for you to look into before you spend a ton of money! Hopefully it's different there and he can get a blood test cheaper!

We talked about this very thing last night and..

Karin said the same thing - cost for test about 50EU(sometimes more), cost of vaccination 50EU - so our advice - perhaps might just want to get the required ones (over again if it applies) and skip the testing.

Paul seems to think that he won't need any vaccines. I think he's wrong, but it's not worth arguing I'll just let him take his blood test. And then get additional vaccines as needed. The doctor quoted 30€...I'd rather not pay the extra money but I'm letting him make the decision on this one. (Since he is the one getting poked with all the needles )

I wasn't being spiteful, or wasn't meaning to be I hope he's right and he won't need to get poked with any needles but the one for the blood test But unfortunately, i think he will.

I agree completely, being together in a month will be absolutely perfect. At least all of this reinforces how much we love our fiances, and it will be even better when we are together again

?? - I figure approval coming soon and our package will be in Manila by 1 April or so. I have my affidavit for support ready and just need to get it notarized. I am going to PI in 10 days for vacation and I wanted to bring all paperwork with me so she ready.

Do you think it be too early to have it notorized and brought to her before package ever sent from embassy to her??

I think it's ok if you will bring with you all the necessary documents for your fiancee's interview. We haven't heard from NVC yet but I've already asked my fiancee to fill up I-134 and have it notarized (3 sets, all original just for sure), get a letter form his bank, gather 3 years ITR and all supporting documents that will prove of his capability to support me financially. He will be sending a care package for me late March so I suggested that he includes all those papers to cut back on mailing expenses... Anyway in 3-4 months time, we'll surely have the interview date and I think notarized I-134 is valid for 1 year... Someone correct me if I'm wrong with this one...

I have been informed that it is best to send the Documents needed about one month before the interview and to include all evidence of an ongoing and bona fide relationship.

The Beneficiary's Documents should be current as possible also, and they should bring all the evidence they have to support the relationship up to the interview date.

I posted this last night on a different forum, but I haven't gotten an answer yet. (Karin & Otto, you will recognize the question ) I want to send a package to Paul today with everything that I have that he will need. I was also making a list for him of each document and whether it needs to be sent to the Consulate with Packet 3 or just brought to the interview. I've looked in all the information for the Frankfurt embassy, but I still find it unclear. I realize that it may be more clear once Paul receives his instructions, but since I'm sending the package today, I wanted to see if I could find out the answer and make things somewhat easier for him.

So......

In short, do copies of the following documents need to be returned in packet 3 or only brought to the interview?

-Police Certificate

-beneficiary's birth certificate

-petitioner's birth certificate

-evidence of support

Maybe you already got approved but the USCIS site is not telling you (it sucks sometimes-lol). Tell John to watch out for the NOA2 in the mail because they probably sent it without changing your status online. Remember what happened to others who got approved and they only found out about it when they received the hardcopy...

I run home from work ev... er., Ok. I drive really fast home from work every day and go straight to the mailbox praying for that darned thing. I've also been calling the USCIS 800 number every week day in hopes that the USCIS site is inaccurate. Unfortunately, it is not... the good news is we've had 3 touches in 3 days and that helps me remain sane. At some point, I imagine those will feel as nothing more than teasers. Quite frankly, I'd have payed 5x the amount for VSC type service.

I've been wearing my lucky spongebob boxers since the day we received our NOA1 (12/28) and refuse to change or wash them until we get that NOA2. I think we'll have to boil them in vinegar and febreeze when we finally get it.
