PS: We didn't hear anything yet :( it sucks...the first person with NOA1 after us, got approved yesterday *sigh*...I am getting impatient!!!

Still waiting here...trying to be patient, but it is getting hard...makes me not want ot read the boards only bc i feel bad when we haven't been approved. I thought those touches last week were it, but I guess not. I think I might be joining Tracy and watch from the sidelines.

what I would like to know is....did anybody receive their NOA2 during the day too??? or did USCIS just sent the notification at night?? Just want to know, if it's unnecessary to check more than just one time a day?!

Diana

I'm not sure, but I got the email in the morning, they probably updated at night...who knows???

Good luck, I'm sure yours is coming

Your NOA2 is one day ahead of mine so maybe that means they will arrive at the NVC around the same time! When do you plan on calling the NVC to see if they have received your petition? I was thinking of calling around Thursday (which would be one week and one day after my NOA2). Good Luck!

I've started emailing NVC the day after we got approved (I found out that we were "touched" 02/28/2007). For days, I didn't receive anything from them. I also tried calling them but due to time difference, I didn't get to talk to a live person. I tried again last night (that's day time in US) and after being put on hold for 10-15mins (listening to voice recording), I found out that they don't have a record of our case yet. This morning, my daily email paid off and they finally replied. They said they just got our case and working on it and we will just inform us if they got a case number assigned to us. That is sooooooooooooooooooooo wonderful! I'll give it another week and hopefully, they finally have it forwarded here in Manila...

Start writing them! Good luck to you!

Mae

Hey Mae!!!

I was wondering when I should start calling them or send them an email...We were approved on Feb 28th .. Will they inform the case number just when they forward the petition to the Consulate?Could you please give NVC email address??

Tks and Good luck to all of us!!!

Hurry up NVC!!!!

I-797, Notice of Action. Approval Notice

I am reading the first paragraph of this letter and it states, "The above petition has been approved, and forwarded to the listed consulate. Please contact the consulate with any questions about visa issuance, or if you would like to forward the petition to a different consulate..."

I am assuming the Petition is going to the NVC first, correct?

I do not see the consulate listed on the document?

There is a Beneficiary number on Notice, Axxx xxx xxx, what is this used for?

Thanks,

Robert

yes, it goes to NVC first. You will get another letter from NVC telling which cosulate exactly.

The A**** number (is the Alien no.) you will need for the Adjustment of Status later on (if you do not have a SSN at the time of the application)

Good luck!!

Diana

Diana,

I received the email regarding my NOA2 at 8:30pm US Central time (so that would be 3:30am your time). I noticed a touch earlier that day at 9:00am so kept checking my email about 2 billion times that day :P and finally went grocery shopping and when I came home the email was there with the approval notice. :D So, you may still want to check for touches earlier in the day and then later for the email.

Relax Diane, I was just teasing. And no I'm not as excited about it because my fiancee has to continue to work in Kiev until end of August so I have all Summer to get excited. Of course I'll visit her before that but still.]

John,

I grow up in Kiev. If you plan to visit Kiev, try to go there in May. Chestunt trees are in bloom - very beutiful!

Good luck.

Alex.

Hello Alex,

Yes I was there last May and the Chestnut trees had been blooming then, They smelled sweet throughout Chevchenko park. Then last October I brought some of the nuts back and planted them in my back yard. I hope they grow this spring (if the squirrels didn't eat them)!

I plan to go back again this May as well to accompany Susanna to her interview so I guess I'll see them again.

Ok, so one of 3 things happened today:

1) No December Filers approved (Obviously this is only CSC, VSC December filers should all have been approved last October)

2) December Filers who received approvals are off celebrating and have not had an opportunity to share their joy

3) I'm blind and missed the CSC approval threads.

I'm hoping it's #'s 2 or 3.

We're starting to get the 'last kid picked for gym class' syndrome, and I'm usually the king of patience (comes from being a life long Saints fan, I suppose).

Approved!!! So here is my advice that I took and will pass it on...if the site shows touched and you hear nothing..call and inquire about the RFE you received. (a little white lying required) They asked me what RFE? Your case was approved 4 days ago. Have to tell Tracy this advice..she might find something out that way.
