My friend submitted his DS-260 late, that is October 2014. If he submitted early I guess his interview would have been in November 2014 because numbers in his range already got interview appointment letters. My question then is if your number was passed, do you get last in line or they put you together with the next people to interview appointments? If the latter is true then if he is late for December now his interview would definitely be in January. I am kind of worried for him. His number is 2015AF000125XX

It takes 2-3 months for KCC to process forms. They only schedule an interview once they have finished processing the form. If he is current he will go in the next batch for scheduling once they have finished processing his forms, but if he has only just submitted them they will probably only be ready to schedule him around beginning January, which will be for a March interview...maybe a month earlier if he is lucky and KCC is over the worst of their backlog.
