HOw LONG CAN U HOLD ON 2 PACKET 3

How long do you have to complete packet 3?...Like because we are waiting for a few things...what is the max time frame...On my noa2 it says valid between Jan 10th-May 10th...So would it be okay to turn the Packet 3 back in lets say March/April...as long as it is before the NOA2 expires...

AUG- 2006 Went to the UK to visit for 4 days, ENDED UP STAYING FOR 8 DAYS!!!

11-27-06 I-129F mailed to Vermont

11-29-06 Receipt of NOA1 (received in mail on Dec 4)

MID-JAN-2007 Will be going soon to UK for visit/1 week

JAN-10-2007 EMAIL OF APPROVAL FOR NOA2 (Received email 8 times in a row!!!!!)

01-11-07 "TOUCHED"

JAN-23-07 BACK FROM UK-- ENJOYED THE 6 DAYS THERE...

JAN-18-07 RECEIVED LETTER FROM NVC (National Visa Center)

1 WEEK PETITION WILL BE FORWARDED TO THE APPROPRIATE VISA ISSUING POST (LONDON) WHERE INTERVIEW WILL TAKE PLACE....

JAN 24-07 JUST FOUND OUT OVER THE PHONE THAT NVC SENT PETITION TO LONDON ON 1/12/07 & US EMBASSY IN LONDON HAS HAD THE FILE SINCE JAN 17TH 2007

JAN-26-07 HONEY JUST CALLED ME...GOT PACKET 3.... WOW!!!!!!!

As long as it is before the NOA2 expires is the answer. May 10th, 2007. Anything after that will probably require extreme actions to get the case reopened or you may have to refile your I-129F.

June 11, 2007 - NOA1 for I-485

July 18, 2007 - Biometrics completed

July 20, 2007 - Case transferred from MSC to CSC

July 31, 2007 - AOS Approved - 57 days - Without an Interview!

Aug 06, 2007 - Received Green Card in the mail today!

Jan 8, 2009 @ 8:18PM - Our son was born tonight !!

I-751 - Remove Conditions

July 11, 2009 - Certified Mail to VSC I-751 Package

July 14, 2009 - Check cleared bank

July 20, 2009 - NOA1 & 1 yr extension - Receipt date is July 14. Case# assigned

Sept 1, 2009 - Biometrics completed

Nov 25, 2009 - I-751 is approved. No Interview.

Dec 14, 2009 - 10yr Green Card arrived !

NOA2s have often expired by the time many people get interviews - most often due to delays at the consulates.

Most consulates will accept another 'letter of intent' from both parties as an 'extension' - I know that has been the routine in London. But you should, of course, contact the consulate for sure.

NOA2s have often expired by the time many people get interviews - most often due to delays at the consulates.

In fact, my NOA2 will be expired by the time of our Interview. The point is that YOUR info is at the Consulate before the NOA2 expires. The Consulate can do what they want, whenever they want. But you do not need to be late!

I had my interview more that half a year after our petition got approved. But, I will second what others said - ask your consulate to be sure.
