Forms to fill for the k1 visa interview

Package 4 said need to fill form 160 ds and 156k once but on that form says i need to fill form 156 so i dont know if i need to fill that too....

Hi Yenni87, I'm understanding that you complete both forms, the 160 on line, which you print the confirmation page and keep for the interview. Also, you will need to print and fill out the 156k, but do not sign until instructed by the consul that interviews you. I hope this helps...

thank you ...my concern is that i downloaded the 156k form and on the top of the form says that i need to present thhis form with 156 form so am afraid to only fill the two form they told me and on the interview asking me for the 156 form

Actually I just read that the 156k comes in packet 4. Disregard that notice, I had the same fear and I verified that the 156 is not needed for a K1 visa, just the 156k. But if you feel uncertain about it. Download it as well and have with you if needed. Better to be safe than sorry.

Yes, i will do that thank you.. next week goin to do the medical exam so i will write a review once i get home

^{I have been in email contact with the consulate my fiancée will use and they were kind of enough to email me a copy of what we need to prepare for ahead of time and packet 3 and packet 4 information and it did not say anything about a DS-156K.}

in my package 4 i received my appointment letter and a list with all the domcuments i need for my Interview and on the top first step to do is to fill form 160 and the 156k form.

Read under "Obtaining Documents for Interview", not sure if this applies to your country, but I hope this helps

I had K1 interview in DR July 14 2014 and took the ds156k with me to interview and the consul did not ask me for that form at all. I presented it and he said its not needed. If I were u I take it just in case but it is no longer needed since they consolidated the ds156, ds156k and the ds157 that were requrred before in to to DS 160....that is sent in electronically. So u dont need it but I would take it just in case. I dont loose anything being over prepared....right???
