Hi SandM, yes, it is within the usual timeframe. If you don't get the biometrics appointment letter within 30 days from your NOA1 receipt date, call USCIS and tell them about it. They then should send

Biometrics notices came in the mail today!

A bit ridiculous -- my kids got their appointments on Dec 1st, but mine is scheduled for Dec 2nd (because why wouldn't I want to make that drive 2 days in a row, right?). Guess who's going to be trying a "walk in" on the 1st when she takes the kiddos!

The K-1 Visa journey for myself and my two K-2 children:

K-1: NOA1 2011-8-10; NOA2 2012-1-12; Interview 2012-4-24; Visa issued 2012-9-17; POE (Sarnia) 2012-9-26; Wedding! 2012-10-02
AOS: NOA1 2012-11-20; Biometrics 2012-12-14; AP/EAD approved 2013-1-11; Interview 2013-1-31; 2-yr Green cards in hand 2013-2-9 (101 days total)

Well my check has been cashed! I am still yet to receive my NOA or Bio appt letters. Maybe tonight or tomorrow I hope?

Well they definitely have you on file if you have your bio letter! Hopefully your NOA is just taking its sweet time. If you do not receive it you could always let them know when you have your bio appt. Least you will be able to speak to a person and they should be able to help.

Still no letter in the mail but then again it could be because I am outside of Buffalo and the Interstate is still closed...boo hope that it gets here soon

Hi all I received my appointment letter for biometrics to be scheduled on DECEMBER 2nd!! I don't think I'll do a walk-in. I'll wait for the actual date

Being the nervous person that I am I am now on hold with USCIS for 50 mins so I can see what the status is of my bio appointment...gotta find out where that letter is. I hate that when you call there, the customer service people always try to talk over you...duh no kidding you can't see my receipt number on your system. I always have to tell them that the IO will be able to see what is going on with my case as they have access to my Alien Reg #. I know that it is their job to filter out any unnecessary calls but you would think that at this point in the application process for people needing information that they would just transfer you when you ask to be put on hold to wait for an IO instead of trying to just get off the call...translation...we know how to work the system!! Also don't tell me to wait 30 days to find out where my bio letter is when I am tracking other people who have sent in their application after me to the same service center and have already received it,. Paranoid yeah maybe but want to make sure that nothing happened to that notification.

I hate being so nasty to them but feel that I have to be SUPER aggressive to get any where with these customer service reps. Uggh so frustrating...sorry needed to rant!!!

Moemac59 - I can feel you I had faced same situation when I called VSC customer service to inquiry my NOA receipt. Customer service guy was rude and after talking to few mins he hung up on me. I feel calling to VSC customer service is no use, I would rather make a Info pass and talk to IO.
