I-751 November 2014 Filers

I was gone all weekend up in the 1000 Islands with friends of ours. Camping and riding on my hub's Harley. A good time was had by all.

At least the wait for a GC was replaced by a bunch of fun activities:) Plan a vacation for the end of Sept, because it looks like we will still be waiting at that time. LOL

Hello guys,

My spouse and I are moving to Florida from NY. We are early December 2014 filers.

Does anyone know if this will delay the process (because we are changing states) or will we be called for an interview? Has this happened to anyone here?

In no way the move will affect their decision, the only problem you stand is if meanwhile they process your application and they send your GC to the old address, this is the only reason, why we are buying a house on Friday and keeping our lease until I get my GC. But if you are a Dec filer with VSC, you can change the address and not worry about it. They probably have at least 2-3 more months before they even touch Dec filers.

Good luck on your move

Hi November filers,

My ROC was approved on 06/18/2015! I received a letter in the mail today! I am technically a November filer with the 11/4/2014 NOA1 date, but I posted my timeline in the October 2014 filers thread as I sent my documents in October. I wanted to let you know about my approval so that you knew they are now processing more and more November filers in Vermont, and will get to your case soon!

Good luck, everybody! Stay positive and patient!

Well VSCers, I am a VSC November filer and just recieved an RFE and so did another friend who's NOA date was early November. We sent a hell of a packet and I feel like they're just buying time because they're so far behind.

I guess it's at least good news that we've heard something and that they're starting to process November.

Does anyone know how long it takes for them to process RFE stuff after it's sent in?

It can take them anywhere from a month to in some cases over 4 months. We are talking about VSC after all, there is no time limitations of anything.

I am sorry to hear about your RFE, just send them a big and detailed package with lots of pictures and paperwork. Also, it is kind of good to know they are at least opening Nov filers and looking at some cases. I agree, a big part of the RFE's will be due to them trying to buy some more time. Sadly, there is nothing we can do, but do as they wish and learn the real definition of the word "patience".

Also collect the package ASAP and sent it to them. I feel like the sooner you send them the package the faster they process it or at least you get into the queue before other filers with later RFE's, solely my opinion I really don't know if their system works like that.

Good luck

Uggh that sucks!!! So sorry to hear that. Hope that your RFE won't take long once they receive the info. At least we know that they are now working on November VSC Apps.

I had an RFE when I filed my AOS application and after they got the requested information my GC came 2 weeks later.

It may be a different amount of time to process an RFE for a ROC.

They basically just said what we sent is 'helpful' but they need more. We had included a joint lease, lots of benefit/insurance info naming each other as beneficiaries from our respective employers for life insurance and whatnot, auto loan statements / ownership docs, a few joint bank statements (with checking/savings/credit card), healthcare cards with both names, pictures and a few other things I can't remember. I dunno maybe that's not enough.

We don't have a home (or loan), and no children. Don't want those things really. Other thing is we don't file taxes jointly due to my student loan repayment plan. It's better for us that way and I am going to include a letter explaining why and associated docs.

Luckily we've found some more healthcare docs showing 'joint financial responsibility in regards to medical costs', which they specifically noted in the paperwork (saying healthcare id cards aren't enough to show this). Also including joint HSA account snapshot and found another lease from the last two years showing both names. Finally we'll add more bank statements spanning the entirety of the last few years and some affidavits from friends and family.

That better be enough. I have to admit that I am angry. Really annoying hearing that CSC filers that have been divorced were approved well before us with no RFE and we are as genuine as it comes.

I agree, CSC are extremely lenient. VSC is like a communism organisation, if you don't have at least 95% of the paperwork they require you'd better find a way to get it somehow.

Good luck, but bank statements for the whole period of marriage should be very useful and guys sent them like 5 affidavits, they usually look for that as well. Let us know when you sent back the package, so we can update it and keep us posted.

Good luck
