Hi SandM, yes, it is within the usual timeframe. If you don't get the biometrics appointment letter within 30 days from your NOA1 receipt date, call USCIS and tell them about it. They then should send

On April 30, 2015, the Post Office picked up mail containing your new card for Receipt Number WAC**********. We mailed your card to the address you gave us

card sent on APR 29

I've been a silent viewer on this site. Looks like December filers (CSC) are already getting quite a few approved. I got my NOA as Nov'19th 2014, keep checking and no updates. I thought we'd filed perfectly using this site... we even have children born to our marriage, so it's not like there should be any 'red flags'.

I guess we'll see, and I guess we're better off being with csc, so can't complain too much.

Feb/Mar sometime: Received greencard in the mail. I can't remember the exact date, I have blocked it out as it was so traumatizing. It was just my luck that the USPS had some kind of substitute postal worker on duty the day my greencard arrived. For some reason that's never been explained to me, he didn't deliver my greencard and instead it got placed back into the postal system. We pushed the postmaster to find it and it was eventually found and hand-delivered by the postmaster to our house about two weeks later. The longest two weeks of my life!

Nov 25, 2014: USPS Delivery Confirmation shows application arrived at California Service Center

Dec 5, 2014: Paper NOA1 for I-751 received by mail

May 7, 2015: Paper NOA2 for I-751 received by mail indicating removal of conditions had been approved

Naturalization

Did you send lots of strong evidence? Having children doesn't necessarily mean anything. Sadly, we live in a society where kids are born out of wedlock, unwanted, surprise pregnancy... all of those things so they don't really have any bearing on the strength of a marriage. I believe the evidence piece that has to do with kids is that both parents are listed on the birth certificate.

Thanks for the response :-)

I say 'perfect' evidence, but I mean as good as humanly possible.

We sent the following:

  • All the copies of cards, passports etc listed first
  • Joint federal + state filed tax returns
  • Joint bank account(s) statements spanning the duration of our marriage (I think we sent one for every 2 months or so)
  • Car title in our name
  • Insurance policies in our name, showing address etc
  • Joint car loan policy + payments in our names
  • Utility bills
  • Copy of our child's birth certificate, showing both of us parents listed
  • Copy of our child's policy docs listing our address etc
  • Documentary evidence of our family showing photo's over the course of our marriage, Christmas's, Easter's, vacations etc etc
  • Two affidavits from friends and family members

All in all we thought fairly strong supporting evidence. We were beginning to get worried when we saw Dec filers getting approved above us, so naturally thought the worse. But no RFE as of yet, just the 'my case received' that never seems to change. But I guess we're lucky being CSC filers... I feel for those in VSC... hope it goes quick for all.

APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally ran outside and danced with my better half!!!!!!! I think this is the week they'll be kicking it up a gear, so everyone else waiting should not be very much longer. Thanks for all the help VJ since the beginning. Good luck all!

APPROVED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Literally ran outside and danced with my better half!!!!!!! I think this is the week they'll be kicking it up a gear, so everyone else waiting should not be very much longer. Thanks for all the help VJ since the beginning. Good luck all!

On May 11, 2015, we ordered your new card for Receipt Number WAC##########, and will mail it to the address you gave us. If you move, go towww.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.
