Hmm.. I'd think that something along the lines of "NOA not recieved - Infopass appt 12/23" might be best? Unless someone knows the procedure for sure (they didn't mention bringing my passport so I don't know if I'm getting the stamp for sure, or if they're just going to get me a new letter).

Hi SandM, yes, it is within the usual timeframe. If you don't get the biometrics appointment letter within 30 days from your NOA1 receipt date, call USCIS and tell them about it. They then should send

I have my biometric appointment done this morning and the lady who did my fingerprints and photo said that I will receive green card in a mail. Does anyone had same experience like me?

I mean how did she knew that it's approved or not? I've checked my case status and it doesn't show that it's been approved.

As far as I can see in VJ ROC forum, stamp in passport is the usual procedure for missing NOA. So, I suggest you to bring your passport to infopass with you :)

Anyone Who filed in Nov. 2014?

Mine was sent in on Nov. 10th, to Vermont.

Received an extension letter dated Nov. 24th.

No Biometrics letter yet.

going out of town next month for about 2 months and now i am worried about the delays this may cause.

any recourse here?
can i go to asc in atlant without bio appt. letter?

Apologies if this isn't the proper thread, but we received out NOA1 with receipt date 11/26, and so far have not received a biometrics appointment. Is this within the usual timeframe?

  • 08/19/2005 – Entered U.S. as student. F1 visa, D/S.

  • Late, late 2007 – Met M (on a Harry Potter fan chat of all things. Curiously, neither of us are big HP fans.)

2009 – Graduated, awarded post-completion OPT (1 year).

2010 – Began M.A. program.

2011 – Graduated, awarded post-completion OPT (1 year).

06/25/2012 – Marriage.

09/6/2012, Day 0 – AOS filing submitted via Fedex overnight to Chicago lockbox (I-130, I-485, I-765).

09/7/2012, Day 1 – AOS filing delivered, signed for by J. Chyba.

09/11/2012, Day 5 – Received NOA1 for all three forms filed via text message, with hard copy to follow.

09/17/2012, Day 11 – Received NOA1 hard copies for all three forms and received biometrics appointment [10/4/2012].

10/4/2012, Day 28 – Completed biometrics.

10/20/2012, Day 44 – Received text notification of interview appointment [11/26/2012].

10/22/2012, Day 46 – Received hard copy notification of interview appointment [Holtsville field office, 11/26/2012].

11/26/2012, Day 81 – Interview completed. EAD and I-485 card production ordered same day. I-130 no change.

12/03/2012, Day 88 – Received EAD and Permanent Resident Card (green card). Resident since 11/26/12.

11/25/2014, ROC filing submitted via Fedex overnight to Vermont Service Center (I-751 + supporting evidence).

11/26/2014, NOA receipt date.

08/03/2015, Received RFE, deadline to respond Oct. 29.

10/28/2015, Sent off RFE response via Fedex overnight.

11/13/2015, Received I-551 stamp in Manhattan field office, validity 1 year.

02/04/2016, Received I-797 Notice of Action confirming removal of conditional permanent residence status. Date of decision was 01/28/2016.

Hi SandM, yes, it is within the usual timeframe. If you don't get the biometrics appointment letter within 30 days from your NOA1 receipt date, call USCIS and tell them about it. They then should send you the biometrics appointment letter soon after (unless your biometrics data is current). That happened to me, I called USCIS after 30 days of waiting, and got my biometrics appointment letter within a week after my call. Don't worry yet!

12/05/2014 - called USCIS about delay in getting my biometrics appointment notice

12/12/2014 - received biometrics appointment notice dated 12/08/2014 with the 01/02/2015 biometrics appointment date

12/19/2014 - walk-in attempt to do early biometrics; they didn't accept walk-ins that day, so my attempt was unsuccessful

12/22/2014 - successful biometrics walk-in

06/18/2015 - ROC approved! Received a letter in the mail box on 06/22/2015

06/23/2015 - the new green card was ordered

07/02/2015 - the new green card was mailed

07/06/2015 - the card was picked up by USPS

07/08/2015 - the card was delivered

07/11/2016 - package sent

07/13/2016 - package delivered to the USCIS Phoenix, Arizona Lockbox

07/14/2016 - NOA receipt date

07/16/2016 - biometrics scheduled for 08/02/2016

Completed my biometrics today in Hialeah, FL (Miami). When I was pulling in I almost had a heart attack as there was a HUGE line wrapping around the whole building. Turns out they were all there for citizenship ceremonies and there was only about 10 people in the fingerprinting room so it ended up being quick and painless. Lucky I was observant though. I noticed when the lady was typing my info into the computer she put the country code for AUSTRIA instead of AUSTRALIA, easy and honest mistake. So I politely asked her to check and she did and fixed it. So I saved myself about 30 days correcting that error if I had found it down the track!

Please update my bio date.

Received letter on Dec 17 2014, dated on Dec 30, 2014. I did early bio on Dec 19, 2014.

Thanks.

- 7/23/2008 came to US with F-1 visa
- 9/11/2012 I-485, I-130 and I-765 package sent to USCIS Chicago lockbox
- 9/12/2012 package delivered and signed by XXX
- 9/14/2012 received email with receipt numbers
- 9/17/2012 check cashed
- 9/30/2012 received hard copy of biometrics appointment on 10/19/2012, notice dated on 9/21/2012
- 10/12/2012 successfully walk-in one week earlier without asking reason at New York Long Island City office
- 11/5/2012 started to work in a new firm
- 11/11/2012 EAD approved!!! AWESOME!
- 11/19/2012 EAD card delivered, one day ahead of my birthday!
- 1/11/2013 received txt and email about interview time
- 2/14/2013 interview - Got APPROVED on the spot!!
- 2/27/2013 USCIS online update - 485 decision!! we mailed you a notice that we had registered this customer's new permanent resident status :) Later, my 130 update too!!!
- 3/4/2013 Card Production!!

- 11/24/2014 I-751 package sent to USCIS Vermont Service Center to remove conditions

- 11/25/2014 package was delivered and signed by XXX

- 11/26/2014 check cashed @16:49 before thanksgiving!

- 12/17/2014 bio letter received, scheduled on Dec 30, 2014 11:00 AM

- 12/19/2014 early bio done in Long Island City Office!

I am not sure if anyone noticed but 'Petition to Remove the Conditions on Residence' at VSC changed to normal processing time (6 months) from March 24,2014. That shows a good sign :)
