We are here to help one another but sometimes ppl on her exaggerate too much sometimes due to experience or someone else's experience. What I'll tell you is pray your package don't get return n if it does, resend it back whenever you got the money to but don't have it sitting too long cuz that might be a problem now.

ok can you explain why they would send it back? I didn't talk to anyone about this paper work, I just read what they sent to me and put the packet together me and him. and they will take the 590.00 I sent and just send back the packet? that doesn't make sense to me. I mean I did it within the 90 days correct? have to do it before he entered the us?

The reason is because they want us to follow instructions given on the uscis page and prior to the expiration of your conditional GC. I just recently filled mine n my widow opens dec 1st. When I went to usps to send my paper, the mail man told me it will reach on Saturday but fortunately delivered on Friday. So I was a day early too n I'm praying they don't return my package due to such situation. You ain't the only one. We gone be fine either way.

They won't take your filling fee, all you got to lose its your postage fee.

My earliest filing date was Nov 8th (Sat.)

Packaged mail by the attorney on Nov 10th.

NOA received dated Nov 24th. giving one year extension.

Waiting for Biometric Appointment letter.

My package was 4 inch thick. Front loaded them.

Biometrics done 1 day early. They allowed me to do the walk-in since my kids were scheduled today. :)

Long process (arrived at 8:45 and didn't get out until almost 10:30) and much different (ie way more security checks) than when we did the AOS biometrics. All good though! I'm glad it's done. Now hopefully we just wait for an approval notice!

The K-1 Visa journey for myself and my two K-2 children:

K-1: NOA1 2011-8-10; NOA2 2012-1-12; Interview 2012-4-24; Visa issued 2012-9-17; POE (Sarnia) 2012-9-26; Wedding! 2012-10-02
AOS: NOA1 2012-11-20; Biometrics 2012-12-14; AP/EAD approved 2013-1-11; Interview 2013-1-31; 2-yr Green cards in hand 2013-2-9 (101 days total)

ROC: NOA1 11-7-14; Biometrics 12-1-14; 10-yr Green cards ordered 4-13-15! (157 days total)

Counting down to naturalization time!

Received our Bio appt letter for 12/10.

On that note, is there really any sense in going in early. At best we could move the process up a week, but considering this is going to take 6 months anyway, I'm not really sure it is worth the hassle. Anyone have any real insight into an early bio helping?

@merc0230 -- based on what I went through today, I wouldn't bother trying an early walk-in for the sake of a week. I had to show my letter to 3 different people (after standing in 3 different lines) to finally get someone who had the authority to say that I could do it today while I was there with my kids for their appts instead of coming back tomorrow when my appt was scheduled. If you know that your local office allows walk-ins and you can do it easily, go for it I guess, but I definitely wouldn't try it at my local office if I didn't have a really good reason.

Good luck to you.

Thanks CAdreamer. I can understand why you did it since you were already there, but yeah I'm going to take your advice and not worry about it.

I hope I'm posting in the right place this time.

I sent in my application to the USCIS some time in mid November. I forget the exact dates. I did get the paper back saying my green card has been extended for a year. I got an appointment to complete biometrics. I went and did that this morning in fact. I'll have to look at the paperwork to verify dates.
