You're welcome. The petitioner always has to file an I-864 even if they have no income and plan to use a joint sponsor. Your husband as both your joint sponsor and household member has to use the I-864A. Any other joint sponsor who isn't a household member would need the I-864.

Since you are unemployed, in part 6 no 4 you would select unemployed and put since when you have been unemployed. In part 6 no 5, you put 0 unless you have any other income that isn't from employment and is non welfare, such as unemployment income or rental income.

In part 6a,b, and c, you put your husband's info. You would put whatever he makes in a yearly period. So if he gets paid weekly, you would multiply the gross amount(what he makes before taxes) by 52. If he gets paid every two weeks, you would multiply by 26.

In part 6 no 10, you add up your income with your husband's. If you don't have any income, the amount would be the same as in part 6c. Then you select part 6 no 11 and go on from there.

No, because they want to know what is making now, not what he made last year. He gets paid every two weeks? It would just be the gross amount of his check times 26.

Or you can just calculate from the bottom up. For example, if he gets paid hourly you multiply that by the number of hours he works per week.

So let's say he makes $20 an hour and works 40 hours a week, that would be 80 hours for a two week period. So you multiply $20 by 80 hours and you get $1600, then you multiply $1600 by 26 to get the current income amount, it doesn't have to be what he has made so far this year, but rather what he should make if he works for an entire year.

You have to get this part right in order to avoid a checklist, remember that the important thing here is his current income, not what he made before.

Also you said you don't know the paycheck amount, why not? He should have a paystub lying around.
