When Bush, Reagan, or even Clinton was in the WH, did poverty exist? Or did everything magically start to suck in 2009?

And your point is ? Are you running for head of the Denier party.

Or is it Bush,Reagan and Clinton did not do shat about it so it justifies Obama being an idiot also

The point of the Video was that the massive entitlement programs have failed. But a good swipe and Bush and Reagan is always appreciated

Context would do here. My point is that neither side has done a good job eliminating poverty. I don't know why it seems like Obama is worse than the rest when we were in a recession when he was elected. But you talk about deniers, on your side, you blame every ill on Obama. Doesn't that go against the whole bootstrap theory you preach about?

The number of those single adults getting food stamps did double about the same time that Obama granted a blanket suspension of that work requirement for 18 months as part of his 2009 stimulus law. But the Bush administration had already granted waivers covering some or all of 46 states and the District of Columbia, and more waiver requests were pending as the economy tanked. And despite the rise under Obama, these working-age adults without dependents still made up less than one in 10 on food stamps.

So what. They still went up something like 80% on Obama's watch, and they're still going up Not too mention the massive increase in disability claims.

The recession did a lot to help with that. Or, are we going to ignore that part?

The recession officially ended in June 2009, over 5 years ago when Obama was president for a whopping 5 months It's pretty obvious by decision after decision that Obama wants as many folks dependent on govt. as possible.

According the U.S. National Bureau of Economic Research (the official arbiter of U.S. recessions) the US recession began in December 2007 and ended in June 2009, and thus extended over 18 months.[20][21]

Why would anyone want to have people dependent on 'the government'? I can see why people are dependent on aid either short or long term but while aid is dispensed by government agency, that really doesn't mean that people depend on 'the government'. Even if you could make that argument, what's the rationale? Are you saying that you believe that everyone who is on government assistance votes for a specific party and that somehow that would be the most important motivation for any political elite? You do know that's not very logical.

Simple. It equals votes. The same reason that they institute programs that encourage illegal immigration. More voters down the road.

I think it's fine that the program expanded for the recession but it seems to me that's over so if it's not shrinking itself the government should do something to shrink it.

It's hard to take away freebies once they are given. Wouldn't want to upset a loyal political base. Never mind the 17 trillion dollar debt.

He wants people to get help. If you can find a speech that shows Obama wants someone to be dependent on the govt teet, I'll concede.

Who or what are 'the Deniers'? Is that like the Avengers?

Anyone who doesn't think Obama is the worst human being on the planet is a denier.

It's logical because that's what folks think the Democratic party is all about. The left is all about dependency while the right is all about hard work and personal responsibility.
