Wow Miranda they are strick on coming to classes. I was surprised since this was in Clanton and they already decided to close this early.

nijusjaanu yes I have sister in law up Shelby County Tn. I was surprised years ago when she moved and told us they lived there.

Peggy the winds came and stayed then it got rough and now calmed down again. Temps are very pleasant now. I am enjoying our little spring like days this week. Only thing is my tulips and daffodils are up and some are in full bloom now.

They are really strict. My mom (she works at UAH) called the president of UAH once to chew him out because he waited until after 8am (after everyone had to be at work) to finally decide to close UAH because of icy weather. Everyone had already risked their necks driving to work and now they got told to go home! She was mad.....

That was stupid. If they made it to work okay then you have to worry can they make it back to their homes safely now? I know we are in the center of the state and they usually hold out for some time before closing the business, schools, and roads but not that late.

Well from the way the sky looked today, I thought we might get some thunder here in ME! We were predicted "light wintery mix", and sure enough, it's just started snowing.

Remind me again why I live in the North East?! :P
