Turkey may decide to fight, probably on the side of Isis. Iran would feel the need to protect what's left of Iraq.

We could just sit back and sell them all weapons.

Seems the neither the Iraqi army or the Turkish army seem to want to deal with it, so not sure why we should.

ETA: Why don't the Israelis do something about it? We give them all this military aid, and all they do is bomb civilians. Would be nice if they used it for something that benefits U.S. interests.

I believe our current policy is to discourage Iran and Israel from getting involved. Us stepping out completely (other than selling arms of course) could work to Israels favor. While Isis and Iran and Turkey and Syria are going at it bulldozing Gaza would show up on the back page of the newspapers. If Israel occupied Saudi Arabia in self defense they would have all the money they needed to go about their business with no further need of US money.

They sort of have, I think the current situation is mainly for domestic consumption.
