I don't remember any call to send health workers to West Africa to combat the disease. You are aware, are you not, that the areas affected are extremely poor areas and most of the affected are women and children and moreover, the orphaned children are dying of preventable disease after they lose their parent's because of the lack of resources? Yet, your primary concern appears to be to use this to slag off Obama. Sorry, I don't find your attitude in the least bit helpful or useful.

That would be you.

You seem to suffer from selective reading skills. Too bad That's post #4 in case you are interested.

Here we go again. Looking back since the guy from Africa lied to US healthcare workers regarding having no contact with ebola patients in Africa. They should of put a bullet in his head as soon as he tested positive, Lets hope they can get this under control.

If you want to respond to something I say, then do so, I have already told you, as you seem to be incapable of understanding the context of my post, that I used hyperbole deliberately. Now what?

I don't think he even read the link he posted. It was just something that he could fit into the anti-Obama theme he was looking for.

So then why all of a sudden today do you care what the CDC thinks then?

Find one post in which I show any trust at all in the CDC? To the contrary you will find numerous posts I've made with regard to how any government agency cannot and should not be trusted.

Regarding my post and link to the CDC referring to the outbreak in Africa as an epidemic, was simply in reply to the ludicrous replies to what is and what is not an epidemic. I can assure you the majority of Americans could care less as to what it's called. They are pissed that their government allowed this to happen and amateurs stood before the American people and told them there was little to no risk.

Malarky.

You just linked to an article about the CDC defining this as an epidemic in West Africa and suggesting more resources should be used there.

If you don't care what the CDC says, then don't use it in your arguments just because it fits todays agenda.

Yes, we already know that you are using the suffering and anguish of others to push a political agenda, moreover without just cause. The question is, why?

For the record, do not assume anything more from the link posted to the CDC was anything other than taking issue with a pointless discussion as to what is and what is not an epidemic. I neither agree nor disagree with the content of the article. Like most Americans i could care less what you call it. The point is that it's very dangerous, easily transferred to others, and has a high probability of killing anyone it infects.

Seems that being quite so angry at Obama is a dangerous disease reaching epidemic proportions ;)

Seriously, I don't get why people are so blinkered as to look at this and blame it on domestic politics. The real tragedy is that this was swept under the carpet until people from the US caught the disease. Now, people want to do something about it. Good, attack it at its source, send much more medical aid to West Africa, contain it, get it under control and the chance of it spreading outside of the affected area and turning into an epidemic outside of West Africa are reduced exponentially. Yet, for these misguided souls it's more important to blame Obama and close up the borders. Unbelievable really.

So, rather than getting all hot under the collar because you don't like Obama, why do you not support measures that would actually prevent its spread outside of West Africa, which is not close it off and let them get on with it, but fight the disease at source?

Putting bullets in the heads of people who contract Ebola is no kind of answer, it's not even funny.

depending on the variant of ebola, the above may be a mercy killing. bleeding to death from every orifice isn't a painless way to go.

Watch the ignorant and clueless left blame the healthcare worker for becoming infected from someone who should NOT have been allowed to enter the US in the first place. Far more dangerous than ebola and 0bola is the deadly disease of clueless lberalism.

Are you suggesting that that was the motivation behind VOL's posting? That it would have been a mercy to do so? That's a somewhat unique reading of what he/she posted. Nevertheless, putting bullets in heads is not a recognized protocol in US health care facilities. Would you like it to be?

So, no you don't want to address the real solution, sending more resources to the source of the outbreak, you would rather make up straw men arguments. Who is blaming the health care worker for contracting the disease? Blame isn't appropriate in this context. Sadly, the health care worker has become infected. I hope they are able to fight off the disease and recover. How about you? Or, is it more fun to make up stupid names for Obama as that demonstrates your insight and understanding of well, everything?
