Here was my checklist since I got an RFE with my I-130 NOA1 regarding that stuff...I'm quite positive it'll work fine.

  • Brief explanation of the history of our relationship (i.e. How we met, why I moved to Europe...)

  • Brief explanation as to why certain scraps of evidence are unattainable for us

  • Last page of apartment rental contract (“Schlussbestimmungen”) signed by both my husband and myself

  • Latest Apartment Bill from January 2014 (“Mieterhöhung zum 01.01.2014”) addressed to both my husband and myself

  • Proof of deposit (“Vereinbarung”) on apartment by myself and my husband

  • Official address changes proving I lived with my husband at his parents' address before our marital union and showing we moved together to our own apartment (2x “Anmeldung”)

  • Up-to-date gas and electric bills addressed to both my husband and myself

  • Proof of a joint German bank account shared between my husband and myself (*Please note attached paper)

  • Proof of family health insurance (“Familienversicherung”) which insures us under my husband's work contract (* Two separate pieces of paper – one for each spouse)

  • Photos of my husband and me/family between 2009-2014 (descriptions on back of each photo)

  • Letters from parents in US and Germany and one Finnish friend living in Germany

Myself: US citizen; Husband: German citizen

We do not really text. Only if either of us go to the store and we want something other than whats on the list we just say, get this or that.... Both of us names are on the bank receipts for payment of rent.. Thats about it.. I do have other documents that are dated and address to our home... Thats really about what I can find for now.... In the morning when i wake and he's downstairs i would face-time to let him know i am up.. but face-time seem to only keep record of the last call..

Living where???? You are not a married couple, you filed 129F, so at the interview, your proof on ongoing relationship is proof of communication, plane tickets, event tickets, credit card receipts, etc.... proving you still have a relationship after NOA1. They will look at pictures at the interview as well.

I am not sure if I can make it for the interview. I guess we just have to start maybe texting each other randomly throughout the day. I hope what we have so far will be good enough.. :(

No, you will not be able to attend the interview. Our embassy does not allow it. At this point since you have NOA2, you really need to only accept advise from those involved with the JA embassy. Other VJers, although they are trying to be helpful, do not know how strict JA is with the requirements, and may tell you something that is incorrect resulting in a denial or a 221g.

Post questions in the Caribbean Section under Forums to be addressed by JA members.
