I used the SRC number. I know Hiroshi did, too. Could that be the mess up from our side? :(

But it says clearly in the instructions on the DS-160 that it's the number given by USCIS:

"If you are applying for a petition-based visa, your application receipt/petition number was given to you by the Department of Homeland Security’s U. S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) after you filed your petition application at a USCIS Service Center. The application receipt/petition number is 13 characters long and the first three characters are letters.

That might be what's causing your delay, the LND number is 13 characters and the first three are letters.

It says on all of my paper work:

Case number: LNDxxxx....

Receipt number: SRCxxxxx.....

I would fill out a new DS-160 and send an email to the embassy apologising for the error, that may have been why it got lost in the system.

Same here it asked for the USCIS number and not the lnd, I used the uscis number on the one I just submitted as well, cause it says in a small box for the uscis number :/

Can I edit the one I've submitted? I know I can but will that help?

It doesn't let you edit it once you have submitted it. You have to submit a new one. Although, I googled a bit - it looks like people have used both NVC number and TSC number in the past, and have had no problems. I don't know anyone from London specifically though, who used SRC number and still didn't have any problems.

12 May 2014: Mailed 129F packet to Dallas lockbox

21 May 2014: NOA1 from TSC

18 Sep 2014: NOA2

23 Sep 2014: Case sent to NVC

06 Oct 2014: Left NVC

08 Oct 2014: Medical exam

09 Oct 2014: Case reached embassy in London

09 Oct 2014: DS-160 and Applicant Readiness form submitted

21 Oct 2014: Interview letter received

Exactly! This is all so frustrating. I used SRC, and don't know anyone else who used SRC and got away with it. :(

I can't edit mine either. Once you submit it, it doesn't let you edit it.

When you try to retrieve your "lost"DS-160 application using the application number you have for it, does it say submitted and show the confirmation? Or does it not show any records? If it does say completed, surely, the embassy must be able to download it at their end? I'm thinking maybe we messed up on the case number? I remember you said you gave them the USCIS number -- i.e., the SRC.... - I did the same. I wonder if we had to give the LND number? Just a guess. It's so bloody confusing!

I checked for you and It says that both of them have been submitted, So I'll just leave it at that and ask which one to take to the interview with me.

Well, I couldn't contain myself, so I submitted a new DS-160 with the LND number, and a new applicant readiness form, and sent another message telling them I used the correct case number this time, hence the new submission.

This is all so stressful!
