They should just use emails, like the rest of us normal people do!

I live in London, not far from the embassy. So if indeed it was some form of letter, unless they've tied it onto a snail's back, I should've got it today - or at least tomorrow. One would assume.

I agree. I contacted the embassy yesterday and their response was so non informative, I literally had a facepalm momment.

So, we're just going to wait, keep patience and when it arrives, it arrives.

As long as he is here in the states for our December shotgun wedding, we'll be fine.

How did you contact them? Via the online "contact us" page? I sent them a query from there 4 days ago and they never bothered replying. Doesn't surprise me though...

I was hoping to get to America well before Thanksgiving. But that now looks a bit iffy. And the prices of flights are going up and up every day....

Yes, that's the only way to contact them, via online "Contact Us"

My fiance tried to reach them by phone, going through the embassy switchboard only to be told that they didn't have a phone number to the visa immigration unit and to contact them online.

As far as air fare prices, I have not noticed an increase in rates. You can expect them to be higher the closer it gets to a major holiday. I, personally, haven't noticed any increases. It appears to be the same rate, daily. Which is still extraordinary. $2000 USD.

I filled in the DS160, submitted my form of readiness, and had my medical 2 weeks ago today - no interview letter yet.

I made a little list of people more or less in the same boat. Misery shared is misery halved, right? :)

On the bright side, we'll all be able to share in each others experience, as it appears we'll all be getting SOMETHING (fingers crossed) soon.

I wonder if the embassy waits for a certain number of applicants to have submitted all forms and be ready to interview before they send out interview letters? It would make sense to have a group of say 5 or 10 applicants all coming in on the same day, rather than just the one. Idk, just an idea?

I am only speculating, but I am sure that they have close to a hundred a day, if not more.

However, they may be seeing an influx of appts due to TSC trasnferring some of their cases to CSC.

Since there's more approvals coming in, any form of a delay would be expected. But according to the London Embassy, we should all allow 6 weeks for the interview letter. So we can't think of this as a delay until December.

But I would think that they would try to stick to priority dates. Which ours is December 20th.

sorry this is my 'work' account as I've forgotten my password and am logged in automatically at home!

Thank you for doing this! They only received our medical results yesterday though so i'm just being incredibly impatient! haha

I did make an online contact inquiry a couple of weeks back and they replied within a day or two and were extremely helpful, maybe this week has been uncharacteristically busy? (perhaps due to TSC/CSC transfer approvals like someone suggested)

Actually, mine was more a request than a query - so maybe they decided there's nothing in there to respond to. I just informed them I am available at short notice, if there are any cancellations, as I live just round the corner. I keep imagining running there in my pajamas, phone in hand, the moment they call.... LOL

haha that would show how committed you are!!

Mine was a request that my interview date fitted around a business trip in early November.

They told me they couldn't issue a date before receiving my medical exam results but that they'd made a note of my travel dates and that they'd ensure my interview fitted around these dates. Far more pleasant and accommodating than I expected!

London easily does 100+ visas a day. I think they have been going faster for sure lately. Find the London K1 graph on this page representing all on VJ with a timeline. Time right now is half of what it was in April. http://www.visajourney.com/content/consulate-k1-historical

Things I have observed over the last 6 years--

Maybe sending things early or having a medical before London has notified you got some of the things misplaced. Getting out of order trying to speed it up could have the opposite result.

People who put an earlier planned wedding will often be processed over those who say they aren't marrying for 3 months.

More tourist visa applications to interview because of upcoming holiday season. Same thing happens before summer.
