OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! My interview date is here. 4th of November. Yay!!!

Congrats, hoping mine is at the house tonight when I get home from work. I sent off my application of readiness and ds-150 about 6 days before you and haven't heard anything back yet. Fingers crossed.

Well done again.

Also, was it by a letter or an email/phonecall that you got the date?

I got a reply to my second email, which I sent on Saturday, in which they said I should wait 6 weeks from the date when they have all the forms. And below that it said my interview is scheduled for the 4th of Nov! And when I got home a couple of hours later, there was the letter in the post, confirming the interview.

12 May 2014: Mailed 129F packet to Dallas lockbox

21 May 2014: NOA1 from TSC

30 Sep 2014: NVC received + case number generated

09 Oct 2014: Case reached embassy in London

09 Oct 2014: DS-160 and Applicant Readiness form submitted

Thank you all! I'm am over the moon! Well, I was until an hour ago -- and then I failed in a test I had to take for work :( . No, actually I'm still excited. Screw the test!

I don't know if it just took the normal course of things, or if some of my hyperventilation about it helped, but I'm glad they've responded. Hopefully the visa will come through all OK and I can be there before Thanksgiving. Yay!!

Good luck to all of you - I hope I can see some/all of you on the day at the embassy! :)

I got a letter in the post today! My interview in November 6th.

I must admit I was worried after you found out today about your interview that something had happened to my application.

Also, can I just say (I'm going to put a separate post up after) that CEAC updates mean very little indeed. My application updated on Sept 30th - when the consulate must have received my file; then again October 8th - when they must have received my medical results.

Anyhow, a great sense of relief!

Best of luck to everyone.

Congrats! And I agree - the updates seem to be only vaguely related to any events we can attribute to them. For instance, in their email this morning they said the letter was posted to me on the 17th. I had no update on the 17th. And the other updates I noticed were also not strictly related to any of the events I was trying to attribute to them. It's all mostly speculation.

But I will say this: all that speculation and hyperventilation is only par for the course. It's difficult to sit back and not wonder/worry/do something while you're waiting. For my part, I will never know if the embassy took its own course, or my continual prodding had any impact, but I wouldn't have been able to just sit there and not do anything.

Not good news and i've never heard of it happening?

Are you sure you submitted and signed everthing off correctly etc?

Your internet didnt cut out just as you pressed submit or similar

We have kind of similar timelime for sending the readiness form (i sent it on 9/20), just that i have my medical done already in early septemeber, i still havent received any letter and the last update on CEAC is 10/3 :(

I had that issue when I tried paying with my MasterCard CREDIT card. But it accepted my Visa Debit. I think it only takes Debit cards...
