Hi everyone,

Hope all is well.

I am a US citizen and am a petitioner of I-130 for my wife, we had NOA1 since Sept 10, 2014 and we wonder what is the next steps we need to do? How long do we expect to receive an approval notice from USCIS?

We both are living outside of US in HK at the moment for our jobs, and we filed as outside of US. Just wondering what do we need to do in case we wanna move to the states (my wife has a travel visa) before the petition is approved? I understand that she cannot work with her travel visa, but do we need to notify USCIS or NVC since we will be in the states then?

Thank you all for your help!

You don't have to do anything just move. But your wife unfortunately can't move with travel visa - it will be fraud to use it for immigration intent. Need to wait until your I-130 is approved and go through consular processing.
