CR1 and K3 petitions and transfer to different service center.

Hi everyone,

I am confusing right now to make the best option for my situation here. I have submitted both CR1 and K3 petition and lately I found that K3 is no longer available and I knowledge that the CR1 may have to wait for the K3 to be approved so they can pair up before they could be sent to the NVC. The waiting time will properly slow down my CR1 process. I know that I can choose to go with either one of them. But I am confusing that should I ignore the K3 at the service center stage or I have to wait until they both sent to NVC and ignore the K3. I also notice some members in this forum have their petitions transfer from one service center to another. So is it done by the petitioner or by the service center people? if I can transfer my petition, how can I do it? Hope you guys can help me with these questions.

You cannot transfer your petitions to any service centers. Any transfers that are done are solely done by the USCIS as they deem necessary. Generally to ease the workload on a particular service center.
