Eligibility & Licensure/Registration Requirements

The requirements for eligibility to take the NCLEX and to get a license/registration are determined by the board of nursing/regulatory body (BON/RB). If you are interested in information about eligibility and licensure/registration requirements, you should contact the BON/RB where you wish to practice.

You will need to check with what state she applied in. They will dictate, but usually as a rule no green card is ever needed. Usually the key to taking NCLEX is if she has a social Security number yet, some states require it to take NCLEX, some states will let you take NCLEX without it, but wont issue RN license until you have a Social Security Number.

NCLEX is actually given all over the world not just in the USA.
