Hello I checked my case this morning and saw that the vsc waiting time is gone up to 24.5 months.. That's absoultely ridiculous.... my PD is 3/4/2014 and when I applied it said it would take us 5.5 months. We have heard nothing yet so I'm just wondering do I go by the 5.5 months or do I go by the 24.5? Please help because I'm worried now I can't be away from my husband that long!! ?

Yes that's the visa I'm going for. If u go onto the uscis processing times and go into the Vermont centre and do the i130 for permanent resident you will see for yourself.. It's so upsetting!

2 years seems 'the norm' if the petitioner is a LPR.

but not for USCIS processing - usually 2 years for the whole shebang, from filing to interview date.

maybe some math error, based on case file outliers that VSC is dealing with. [ie, they just found 5 cases of files from 2 years ago and are finally getting to logging them this month]

Sometimes my language usage seems confusing - please feel free to 'read it twice', just in case !
Ya know, you can find the answer to your question with the advanced search tool, when using a PC? Ditch the handphone, come back later on a PC, and try again.

Put in a service request. Or make a INFOpass appointment. Now you do realize that you will sit at NVC probably a year before moving forward because of your PD.

if you are the beneficiary? no. only the petitioner can inquire about it.
